I had researched a few options in Olympia before we traveled there on a road trip of the Peloponnese, so I had this place in mind, but no reservation. We showed up after dark, unannounced and were very lucky that Hotel Pelops had a room available. Most of what people say here is very true. The family that runs the...

Theo greeted us out at our car as we were quite late due to gps issues! He was so marvelous with a smile, instantly organising us to our rooms and a welcoming drink! We had two rooms next to each other due to being a large family and both were very comfortable with balcony's. It is so unusual in Greece...

The beds are hard, the breakfast is ordinary but the family that runs the hotel are extremely nice and helpful. Both the son and father carried the Olympic torches and their pictures and the torches are in the breakfast room. We loved the site of the first Olympics and the museum is first class. We rented a car and drove...

The hotel is family run. It is a quiet location in Ancient Olympia. We had a large room on the first floor overlooking the school. Although we saw children arriving at the school we never saw them playing or making any noise outside. There was a long balcony and we left the balcony doors open at night to cool the...

This was a short stop on our travels around Greece. It's a smaller family hotel and they couldn't be more welcoming or friendly. Room was big with homely old style furniture, it fitted perfectly and we found it comfortable and clean. The breakfast was simple but the sun lit room made it a pleasure. We went to visit the Olympic...

I have stayed at the hotel for a long journey (three weeks), because I took part on the German archaeological excavations at Olympia. During all my stay I had a good time with the owners. All days I arrived very tired at the hotel in the evening due the works on the archaeological site and I have always found my...

Hotel Pelops was a very clean and well kept hotel. It was less than 10 minutes from the city center, and about a 20-minute walk to the Olympic Archeological Site. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wi-fi was free, and there was also a PC available in the lobby for guests. In the Olympic spirit, the lobby displayed Olympic...

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Pelops overnight last week, and we could not have asked for a nicer place.  The room was clean and comfortable, the price very reasonable,  and the front desk staff friendly and helpful.  Our room had small balcony,  just right for sharing a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing.  Breakfast was excellent....

This is a really nice, charming hotel. Fantastic cooking with some unusual Greek dishes. Everyone was very helpful and friendly, especially as we arrived on the day the museum was shut and so they organised for us to spend the afternoon at a nearby pool. The rooms were quiet, clean and pleasantly furnished. Recommend to anyone visiting Olympia.

After reading all the very favorable reviews on Tripadvisor I was wondering if we stayed at the same Hotel Pelops in Olympia but they did have the Olympic torches in the breakfast room so it must have been the same place. We were met with a friendly and helpful welcome, given a useful town map with directions to along with...

kealywood hello from Greece. We are sorry to hear that you left our small hotel not as happy as you should be! We are always concerned about improvements to our service and that is what makes this small family run hotel running for more than 40 years now. Concerning bed hardness, we have chosen to have medium hardness beds and...
