This lovely former family mansion is run with great care, passion and attention to detail by host Marianna, who ensures everything is spot-on, right down to the healthy and delicious breakfasts served each morning in the beautiful garden. Don't come here for a pool and sun loungers (there aren't any!), but come for truly authentic style, delightful touches, exquisite decor...

This small boutique hotel is the perfect place to stay on Leros. Hostess Marianna Angelou makes you feel welcome in her beautiful home. Leisurely, delicious breakfasts in the garden are included. Very good location, close to beach and tavernas, quiet but great holiday atmosphere.

We enjoyed a fabulous two week stay in Marianna's little hotel. Having spent many holidays pre-kids in Greece on the islands in the 80's and 90's, we were looking for somewhere with the feeling of peace and quiet in the sun which was common then - and is harder and harder to find now. Both Leros and this little hotel...

This is certainly a lovely place. Staying in this beautiful old villa surrounded by trees and gardens feels a bit like being in a novel by Chekhov (without the snow and wolves...). The villa has been in the owner Marianna's family for 119 years and it is extremely charming, as is Marianna herself. She is a warm and courteous host...

It was wonderful to return to the Archontiko Angelou for a second visit and discover that it is as gorgeous as it was the first time. Marianna has turned an old family house into a very beautiful, relaxed and individual little hotel, like not too many others you'll ever stay in. The house retains the beauty of bygone days with...

Leros is highly underrated when compared to its larger neigbours Kos (very touristic) and Patmos (cosmopolitan and small). Leros in uncomplicated, genuine, refreshing and with real people. Beautiful bays and excellent (and we mean excellent) tavernas and overfresh seafood, all at prices that make you smile. For our accomodation we wanted something special, and found this with Mariana in Archontiko...

What a fantastic holiday that was! Hotel is a magical old house, one of those you dont see often in Greece any more, saved by the amazing Marianna and her strive for perfection. She has turned this old family beauty into a brilliant boutique hotel with frescoes, linen sheets and antique furniture. Marianna and her kitchen staff, Irini, would bring...

If you can't do without a flat screen TV and a jacuzzi, Leros is probably the wrong destination for you. If you can appreciate seclusion and privacy, the noble presence of a landlady who welcomes you with her nearly 120 years of tradition at this generous family mansion restored to an utterly refined taste, a garden of passion with a...

Not bad, however extremely overpriced! After all, you are in Leros not in Mykonos! The location is nice, close to the beach and with easy access. The breakfast is delicious, home made. The garden is pleasant and relaxing. The rooms need a lot of improvement!

This is a very nice place to stay and relax. The owner was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was always delicious, and the daily juices (surprise juice - assuming it was whatever fruit was in hand) were very tasty. The room was very nice and was also very large! The gardens were great, and the self service bar was...
