This was our first time to Crete and we weren't sure we picked the best town to stay in. When we arrived at Hotel Leo the service was great and efficient and the accommodations were modern and clean. We're from Canada so there was a bit of an expectation in terms of room quality and size. We were shown 2...

Located in a picturesque, more than 500 yrs old, building, Leo hotel offers spacious, nicely decorated rooms. Ours had a balcony overlooking Rethymnon central pedestrian street, which is noisy enough all day and all night long, especially in high season. Under these conditions, you are somehow obliged to use the air-condition no matter the outside temperature. The breakfast is served...

I used to stay in Leo Hotel in 1990 when it was just a simple hotel in the old town. I remember that I paid 3000 drachma per night ( is 10 Euro) Now they changed it into a nice boutique hotel, open all year. For Great Cretan food go to Stella's kitchen down the same road and enjoy good...

A remarkable renovation, charming decor, small & elegant feeling. After traveling to other Greek islands and sampling several other properties, Hotel Leo remains one of my top picks. The staff is wonderful, breakfasts were different each day and it was treat to eat outside in the alley as the sun wakes up old town. I used Rethymnon as my base...

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Leo during the busiest time of the year, and were surprised they still had a room for us. The value of this place is amazing. Right in the middle of the old town, you leave the property and there are hundreds of shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The room was...

Stayed here for 2 nights. This is a charming small hotel in a great location in the old town part of the city. Thought it was very good value - had looked at the Avli which is a lot more expensive but decided to stay here and use the money we saved to eat dinner at the Avli instead. The...

We found Hotel Leo on the internet and took a chance on it site unseen. The hotel is a hidden gem in Old Town Rethymnon and is quiet and clean with gracious, friendly staff and includes a hearty breakfast. The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom quite large. Our only suggestion for those with 3 adults in their party...

On our recent trip to Crete, we spent 4 nights at this lovely hotel. It has a great location in the Old Town of Rethymnon so it is close to restaurants and all the Old Town has to offer. The hotel is very charming in an updated building over 400 years old. The rooms are well appointed and ours had...

My wife and I stayed here on the second leg of our honeymoon (Santorini first, then here on Crete). Our ferry from Santorini was late so by the time we picked up our car and arrived to the airport it was after 11:00PM. Stella was extremely helpful in guiding us into the city in the dark and even came out...

We arrived in Crete late on a Saturday night complete with flight delays. Hotel Leo, a small boutique hotel, kept the front desk staffed very late awaiting our arrival. We were even met on the street and chaperoned to the hotel! A choice of two rooms was offered and we chose one with a balcony (they were both beutifully decorated...
