You must love to be a little bit alone, you must love strong wind and the arid Nature, feel the energy of Centuries and find out who are You, You'll love the place. The family affair, good food, nice people everywhere, heart opening and feeling of being ONE with our Earth.

the location of the hotel is great, directly above the sea, with a nice beach with sunbeds, umbrellas and a bar. the room was nice, new, with sea view and evrything you need. the hotel has also a terrace where you can relax reading a book, drinking coffe or simple looking at the sea or at the stars. The restaurant... More

We spent one night at this hotel on a journey from Sfakia to Heraklion. Getting down to the hotel from the main highway is an experience in itself and not for the faint hearted. The road is narrow with steep falls and very few guardrails. However the views compensate for the heart-in-the-mouth stuff. We were pleased with the warm reception... More

The hotel is nice and confortable just un the sea. Rooms are renewed but too humid maybe, anyway good for the price. The restaurant upstairs is good but not exceptional, if u stay many day maybe is a good idea to get the car and try other places to eat some days. The view is fantastic and the staff friendly... We stayed for 3 nights in one of the Kavos Melissa units. There units are high up on a hillside overlooking the sea - so there are great views. However it is a long hike down to the to the hotel and restaurant (about 1.5 Km) and hence a very steep climb back up on a pot-holed road, especially tricky... More

This is not a fancy hotel, but if you look for value for money, you have got a great deal. The rooms (those on the hill) are clean and well equipped. The landscape and the view are extraordinary, even in Greek standards. The food in the taverna delicious, and the total experience is definitely worth the effort.

that place has a stunning location! far from bizz and buzz. the rooms are perfectly renovated - simple, quiet and clean! the owners and the grand owners are lovely. the food could be a bit more exciting, a bit more seafood, a bit more local, a bit more crete! a bit more greek!!? wines are fine, but no wide selection... You can walk up to this taverna from the beach. It's serving up great traditional food with a stunning view out over the sea. Very friendly service. Great prices. This place is definitely worth visiting for lunch as part of a day trip to lovely Agios Pavlos beach. Highly recommend.

We wanted to end our 17-day first trip to Greece with an old-fashioned taverna on a small empty beach at the end of the road, and we found precisely that at Agios Pavlos. The website gives an accurate depiction of the hotel, but it doesn't begin to capture the beauty and the peace that pervade this place. The rooms are simple... More

We were lucky enough to spend a week here in early September with friends of ours. We spent four nights in the Melissa studios up the hill and then moved down to a sea view room above the restaurant for the rest of the week as the studio was booked for the second half of our stay. We enjoyed fabulous... More
