Spilia Village is located in a great area, a short drive to a bunch of nice beaches and towns. The rooms are very clean and up to date. The outdoor seating and pool areas are beautifully landscaped making for a charming atmosphere. A tasty, hot breakfast is served each morning with local favorites. All of the staff are incredibly friendly...

The location of the hotel was the best thing about it - quiet, rural and relaxing. We stayed in Villa Nicolas which was beautiful, but it had some issues. We had two issues which weren't resolved by the staff. Firstly the front door didn't lock, which we complained about. We were told that someone would be along to fix it...

Helpful staff, delicious food - evening meals and breakfasts were superb, large and comfortable rooms, excellent service, two nice pools, outside and inside. Thanks particularly to the very helpful Franzecka who helped me with internet and transport.

I've just spent two weeks here leading walking holidays and the hotel has been delightful. Stylish buildings in local stone in a quiet village 3km from the sea surrounded by orange trees and olive groves, quirky and very attractive sheltered eating areas, a lovely pool, garden and outside bar, comfortable rooms, and truly excellent local food: the only complaint -...

Dear A., thank you so much for your positive review. It was a pleasure for us having you here. We too had a good time with you and we are looking forward for next walking season in late summer this year. Would be nice to see again. All the best for you and many greetings from all the staff. Small and friendly hotel with good facilities, attentive staff, and outstanding food. Used by HF Walking Groups and highly recommended by them. More like staying with a welcoming local family than staying in a hotel! Nothing is too much trouble.

This is an attractive modern 30-bedroom hotel built in a traditional manner around the village olive oil press. It is intimate & friendly - the Manager and staff learn your name & room number surprisingly quickly. Very peaceful location - village very quiet (bordering on the dead, at least in out-of-season April). Food in the hotel ok, but not a...

We really enjoyed this hotel. It's set in a small village and is an attractive old conversion with a quirky, interesting layout of rooms. Our food was excellent, properly Cretan in style and very varied each night and breakfast was equally good , ingredients clearly good quality . The staff were excellent , friendly and efficient and the very pleasant...

Excellent in every respect - location/ambience/accommodation/food and staff. A little corner of heaven in the unspoilt Cretan countryside. I would definitely use it again and recommend it to my friends.

Just visited as part of a week walking holiday with HF Holidays. The new manager ( in post for just over a month apparently) must have turned this place round as I can see no resemblance to the former critical reviews. The staff are friendly and efficient, it's very clean throughout, and whilst the service at the bar and restaurant...
