Excellent place for a relaxing holiday on the seaside; informal luxury combined with Greek friendlyness and warmth. The food is both varied and healthy. Agios Nikolaos is a lovely village nearby that has not been overtaken by tourism. No doubt, we are and will remain repeaters!

Beautiful, relaxing resort with an unpretentious feel. Perfect for families. Staff were friendly. Beautiful grounds. Early September was the perfect time to travel if you don’t have to go in school holidays. We stayed in room 946 through RCI. It was at the top of the hill (pool/beach at the bottom) so probably one of the worst located rooms in the resort but it was fine for us, and even had a side sea view from the balcony. The room seemed like it was a bit old but it had been thoughtfully updated with a new bathroom, paint and furniture to prevent it from feeling dated. It was exactly what we were looking for but if you are looking for something very slick, this may be a little rustic for you. There was a mix up with our reservation at check in but thankfully I had called ahead as we left the airport so by the time we arrived there was a room ready for us, although they didn’t have the baby equipment we had requested ready. These were brought to us the next day. I am not sure if the issue was on the side of RCI or the resort, but perhaps it is worth confirming that everything is in order a few days before you travel!

We have stayed at Candia Park about four times now and each time We return, We love it more and more. The location is fantastic with a most beautiful view and situated between Aghios Nikolaos and Elounda, both lovely towns to visit. The design of the apartments being laid out as a Greek village is perfect and the place is spotless, with lush colourful planting. Very big pools and a sandy private beach with watersports never seemed too full when We recently visited. However our biggest praise is for the Staff, the ladies who cleaned our apartment, all the waiting staff, including Antinos , Vicky at he bar and the wonderful Emmanuelle at the pool bar , who was always so friendly and good humoured. We didn't get all the names but every one was so genuinely friendly they are fantastic Ambassadors for this wonderful Island. We can't wait to return.! Ryan Family Dublin

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, but it's the staff that makes all the difference. The rooms are spartan but are just perfect for us. We have been coming here for 22 years and strolling through the village-like layout of the bungalows is just as magic now as it was the first time.
