I stayed at this hotel for a week in June 2022 with my husband and two year old twin boys. It was a last minute booking due to the cancellation of our previously booked holiday so we did not really look into the hotel prior to booking. However this hotel did not disappoint. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and we were blown away by the lobby upon arrival. We were taken to our room on a golf buggy and the gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. Our room number 606 which was directly next to a pool which was very handy with two small children. It seemed to be a quiet area of the hotel as we could not hear any noise from the main pool or the entertainment on a night. The main bedroom was lovely with sliding doors to another room which lead onto a small patio area. While the rooms had a quick clean each day and towels refreshed, our bed sheets were not changed during our 7 night stay and the tray of welcome food was never cleared. The bath area could do with a revamp. The minibar in the room was restocked each day with cans of coke, Fanta, sprite as well as alcohol and water. There are four pools and a water slide. All a nice temperature, when we visited in June anyway. The food was nice. I would say it is a little repetitive in the main restaurant but this is to be expected in an all inclusive buffet. Always different meat, fish, pasta as well as a variety of veg, rice, potatoes etc. Special mention to Yiannis and the outdoor waiters who were very friendly and attentive. The gyros by the beach were delicious. The hot dogs at the pool bar were nice however not the best choices for food down there. The creperie was our personal favourite of the holiday. We visited for crepes and waffles each day and they were delicious. We tried the Italian, Steakhouse and Pan Asian a la carte restaurants and all were lovely. They can be booked online before your stay which we did not know however we managed to get a table for four of our seven nights whilst there. Taxi into Hersonissos was 10 euros where there are lots of cafes and bars. If you walk left out of the hotel by the beach, there is a small town where we played mini golf one night which was nice. We requested a late check out and this was 60 euros until 5pm going up 10 euros per hour which we found quite expensive.…
We stayed in Mitsis Laguna in the first two weeks of June. We had an amazing family holiday. The customer care was amazing, the staff is very friendly. They are always very helpful and attentive. We had a couple of small issues, but I am not going even to highlight them as all the problems were solved efficiently and quickly. Highly recommend this hotel. We also want to say hello to Yannis who is taking care of the main buffet, Michael who’s working as barista at the pool bar (he is making amazing frappe), Alexandros who is from the front desk reception, also girls from Champagne bar and a barmen who’s making an amazing “Basil smash” and Ewelina from the kids club. Thank you all!!
We had unforgettable 12 days at Laguna. Amazing Service and awesome staff. The friendly and warm hospitality and how lovely they treated our daughter Ellie is outstanding. Thank you thank you thank you. We will recommend you anytime. Special thanx to the MiniClub Ladys and the restaurant staff, and Georgios from the Bar. Our daughter was unbelievable happy about the tinfoil flowers from Stefanos and the smiling treatment of the whole team. Much love
We stayed for 5 nights from 11th - 16th June after staying at Mitsis Rinela for 9 nights. First impressions was WOW what a beautiful hotel, everything about it was fantastic. Lovely room, so much choice of food and branded drinks, lovely cocktails what more could you want. The staff in this hotel are fantastic each and everyone of them, they worked so hard always happy, nothing too much trouble absolutely excellent customer service just what you want from a 5 star hotel. It was lovely to see Anastasia the manager of the bars and her husband Archileas who is head of the Sushi, Champagne and Wine Bar what a lovel couple they are, we first met them about 5 years ago in Mitsis Blue Domes in Kos they made us feel really welcome and gave excellent service. Special thanks to Olga in Guest Relations what a lovely lady she is always happy and gave excellent customer service she really looked after us, booked the Pan Asian a la carte restaurant for us and the food and service there was excellent. She was so helpful and always there if needed. Also thank you to Mr Ioannis manager of front of office who went the extra mile in arranging our taxi back to Mitsis Rinela when leaving a really lovely gesture. There is one thing that the hotel could do better is the evening entertainment. The Drifters were really good we loved the show but feel you need more acts like them. Mitsis Blue Domes in Kos had excellent entertainment which was Meds Entertainment from the UK. The shows were The Jersey Boys, The Golden Tones and Il Divo etc they really had the guests dancing and singing which is what is needed in a 5 star hotel. Please book them for next year! Thank you Mitsis Laguna for a fantastic holiday and we hope to return in late September/ October this year.…
Fantastic stay here. Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean everywhere. Rooms excellent. Very pretty gardens, buildings etc. Pleasant staff. Though obviously understaffed in restaurants and bars they coped as best as cld. Food very good at all mealtimes. Shout out to young lady making and serving canapés at rooftop bar, excellent work. Only downside…. Music far too loud by main pool. Also, different music in each specialist restaurant so all competing with each other, too noisy! Wldn’t be put off from returning though.
So here we are sat on the beach at Mitses Laguna Beach, I have to tell you about Pedro, he's the most amazing smiling character We have met, when he welcomes you to the beach it's like he is welcoming you into his home, nothing is to much trouble once he knows what u like he remembers it, always asks you if there is anything you need just a pleasure to see his smiling face come down the beach, massive thanks to the guys on the beach bar especially the chef who prepares you the most gorgeous Greek salads kebabs whatever, mitses manager's these boys deserve absolutely 10/10 but Pedro 100/100, he's just made our holiday so peaceful easy & relaxing
We definitely enjoyed our stay at Mitsis Laguna on the whole. There were some aspects that could improve but the overwhelming feeling is that this hotel is a great place to stay. The positives: The bar and waiting staff are all incredibly friendly and hard working people. I can’t recall a time where any of them let us down. They were the highlight for me because they always served with a smile and chatted with you. Over the course of our stay we got on really well with the bar staff, I can’t praise them enough. I hope their pay reflects the quality of their service as they’re the best thing about the hotel. The food and drink were always good. The cocktails were strong but all very nice whichever bar you got them from. I also loved the lager on tap, it was a local beer that I didn’t catch the name of. The food at the main bar was better than expected for a buffet; there were always cuts of meat or fish and pasta being cooked in front of you and a really good selection of salads and breads. The a la carte restaurants need to be booked in advance. I do wish some sort of email told us that with our booking because they were being booked up quickly when we arrived. You have to book these all online with your room or booking number and you have a set number of visits to each which is understandable. The Italian was our favourite with a really nice selection of dishes as well as wood fired pizza as well. The portions were large and you can order whatever you like. We got a little tired of the Cretan because the food was a little repetitive; maybe some more interesting dishes could be added to the menu there. The pools were lovely and we never went in the main pool because we just found it nicer in the surrounding pools where there is no music playing so we could relax more. We also loved the sun beds by the beach as well. It’s great that there is a food truck there so you can spend hours by the sea whilst still having drinks and some gyros as well! Also the creperie is open almost all day serving savoury and dessert craps which were all very tasty. The negatives: The overall cleanliness and quality of the rooms was disappointing for a 5* hotel. Our room needed a deep clean really and housekeeping only really make your bed and quickly mop the floor. After a week our room was pretty dirty to be honest because the floor was never mopped properly and with stone floors everywhere, dirt from your sandals or shoes would travel as a result. We complained and we did get fresh sheets and a deeper clean but I would expect that given we stayed for almost 2 weeks. The room itself looked nice on first inspection but after a while you notice all the cracked mirrors, leaking shower seals, cracked tiles etc. It’s not major stuff but it made me wonder why I would pay more for an upgraded room given we tried to spend as little time as possible in the room and the only benefit was we had a bit more space. Desserts at all the restaurants were a bit disappointing and didn’t match the quality of the cooked food. I found the reception staff a lot colder and less helpful than the bar and waiting staff, maybe because they handle more complaints but they weren’t as nice. We had a poor check in where one of the reception staff shouted the details of the hotel so loudly our reception member just said I think you’ve heard it all and then that was that. We were left waiting a long time then for someone to come take us to our room. It doesn’t affect my review but it made a poor first impression. The WiFi is terrible, I ended up rinsing through my roaming data instead. You can upgrade to a faster service at €2.90 a device a day but it really wasn’t much faster at all! I wanted to download a few things for the plane home and it really struggled. Should have asked for a refund really. Lesson learned and I’ll download my shows beforehand! It’s not a deal breaker for the stay, I’m on holiday to relax and spend less time on my phone but it was that bad that we struggled to stream anything or load web pages. The spa: 3/5 I’ll keep this separate but we paid for a couples day at the spa. The treatments were fantastic; we had an amazing massage with some scrubs and moisturising, that was really excellent. The spa itself was a bit of let down. It looks great in the pictures but the jacuzzi was cold, the steam room not hot enough and the pools had broken tiles in them which was a little dangerous to be honest. Also lots of rust and missing light fittings which is easy to fix but just dampens the experience a bit. Location: I would say this hotel is more a resort than a hotel that you can use to explore Crete. It’s quite secluded so you’ll need to pay for taxis or guided coach trips to explore the island and it’s attractions. We booked a trip to the West side through the concierge and a TUI bus turned up at our hotel, but it was a really good trip, so I’d recommend having money spare to get the most from your stay.…
One of the best Hotels in Crete, you have everything you need! Mitsis Hotels always will be my first choice while traveling to Greece! The staff was so friendly, the food was so delicious and fresh, pools were with sea water which was enjoyable to swim in pools. 10/10 Hotel definitely!
Stayed with a group of friends for 4 nights to celebrate our 50th birthdays. Lovely hotel! Large spacious rooms, lovely pool areas and also the option of the beach, where the bar staff were good fun and drinks service to your sunbed was great. Buffet and a la crate restaurants all really good, as was the wine and alcohol choices. Loved the champagne bar! The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. Enjoyed it so much booked to go back in August.
Stayed for a week and definitely could have stayed longer. We are all vegetarian plus a child with allergies shich was all catered for. The chef in the main restaurant went through foods everyday making sure there was sufficient choice for my son (not just plain pasta) Customer service was great across the resort and restaurants. Staff were friendly and attentive. Many of the team are bilingual which made the holiday a breeze. Entertainment was good in the evenings and staff at the kids club made the evening disco and day activities enjoyable. Conceriege team were very helpful too. Definitely would recommend this resort to others.
