Great place to sleep! Near a good 24 hour bakery and popular clothing stores from Anerica and Spain. Across the street from the ferries that go to many different islands in Greece.. For example our ferry left at 7:30a.m. From Athens to Mykonos, Wow it was Soooooo Convient to wake up early at Hotel Ikaros and just have to walk...

This was the first hotel we came across for our overnight stay. We were weary after a long ferry journey. The room was horrible, dirty and shabby. At least the bedding was clean. I asked if it was a non smoking room and the owner assured me it was, however the whole room and bed smelled strongly of cigarettes (not...

Management and staff are friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is not up to standard. I stayed in places of this standard when backpacking 35 years ago, but then I only paid 40 drachmas a night, not the 40 euros they now want. Economy hotels in Piraeus have inflated their prices to cash in on the wealthier refugees passing through...

Where to begin... My boyfriend and I were coming in to Athens on a late flight, the next morning we were catching an early ferry to Paros, so we needed a place to catch a few zzzz's. I left the choice of accommodation to my boyfriend - my only criteria was that it was close to the port, cheap -...

Very Close to Ferry terminal to Greek Cyclades Islands, just across the street. Very old hotel but room and bath are clean, free wifi, air-cond and hot shower running ok, if you only look for short stay or overnight. Found the antique dial telephone in the room looks like they haven't done any upgrade since it's establishment. I left Athens...

My 3-dot rating of the Hotel Ikaros may be a little generous, but I simply couldn't resist giving this humble inn its highest rating to date. Isn't it OK to rate an establishment purely out of sympathy? My wife and I used our room for a two-night layover that would give us a day in Athens and make catching the...

Omg! We tried to get the room in Ikaros as we were quite desperate, however the lady in the reception was so rude to us that we just left! Never have met someone so horrible in my life! Never will go back!!

It has a good location, close to the port and metro. If your lucky, you'll get some free wifi access. But that's it. The room is small, the shower is on top of the toilet and the bed is so uncomfortable, it's like sleeping on balls of scrunched up newspaper (in fact, the newspaper would probably be more comfortable). This...
