Booked the hotel through HRS travel agency and got a confirmation e-mail but when I arrived there was no room available. The staff and manager where not helpful at all. I want to warn you for this hotel which does not seem to be a serious business!

I was in Athens Greece and had to find a hotel quickly. I stayed at the Proteas hotel and I found the staff to be very helpful. The rooms were very clean and sheets and towels were replaced every day. The hotel is situated in an ideal location and within walking distance to the centre. An inexpensive hotel with high... More

Spent there only one night - would spend another if I needed to, but would not like it for a week or so. The room we had was quite dark, although quiet regardless of other opinions. Air conditioning was difficult to control, but worked fine once set properly. Wifi was a bit problematic and would not satisfy heavy internet user... More

Cheap hotel, about 15 minutes from metro or an hour's walk to main attractions. Totally fine base to explore Athens for those on a budget. Rooms are fairly small, bathrooms clean but no holder for the shower head (seems to be a thing in Greece, but it's not great if you have a lot of hair to wash...). Decor is... More

I booked this hotel for a two-night stay in Athens. Not knowing the city at all, I just read the reviews that said it was in a great location. I'm not sure where they were trying to go, because for the main tourist attractions, it's not really that convenient at all! It's easy walking distance to Mount Lycabettus, which you... More

We stayed one night in this hotel. Before going there, we thought that it was close to metro station but we had to walk 15 minites with lugges. The room was not so clear and the skul bar just below was so noisy. The control of the airco was very difficult to use. There was not noise isolation. So i... More

Friendly staff, centrally located, and pretty good value ($50 euros). Free wifi. Interesting open air play house right next store. Pretty noisy now at 11pm but we aren't minding that right now because we can sleep in. If we had to get up early might be a bit of a drag. Audience seems to be having a good time!

We stayed here in May for three nights. Where do I start? I specifically chose this hotel after looking at the hotel details on various booking sites and thought it sounded perfect. Let's get a few things straight first. The hotel states that it is only a 300 metre walk from Ampelokipi Metro station. Having arrived at the metro station... More
