We stayed in Hapimag Athens for 5 days. Location is really very good for historical sightseeing. Walking distance to Akropolis and other museums. Plaka area very close and right for touriists to explore Greek kitchen and life. The ladies at the front desk, they are very helpful and friendly. We used kitchen only for coffee and tea, and of course... More

The appartment has an excellent location. It is located in the beautiful old Plaka area and very close to the Akropolis and other places worth visiting. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. Beautiful views from the rooftop.

We stayed in apartment #201. it is supposed to be a premium category apartment but is in fact identical to the cheaper category rooms with the exception of the views from the balcony. Pros; -- Excellent location on a quiet street close to all historical sites of Athens -- Beautifully restored building with high ceilings Cons; -- Furnishing throughout the... More

We're Hapimag members so we're biased, but even by their high standards, this is a gem. It's quite small, and the rooms are variable, but the service is superb, it's very handy for the airport bus, the metro and all the sights. It has a range of rooms (I had a budget one) but it was still spacious, clean and... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
