This is a tiny hotel- just 14 rooms but have 24 hour reception. I found them very helpful and kind to my family group (7 of us). It is close to the central rail station which is a plus late at night coming from the airport. It is also really close to the things you want to see and the...

Ok.... Myrto is a budget hotel. If you have this understanding right, then you can manage your expectations. Yeah, the rooms we booked (Deluxe) looked entirely different than from the booking.com room pictures (we were given a triple room instead). And yes, we were charged (credit card) almost immediately upon booking when it had claimed we only pay at the...

My partner and myself have just returned from a weekend break in Athens. We are not fussy customers and in general look to stay in a hotel which is comfortable, clean and quiet. This is the first time I have ever left a negative review. The brief positive I have are that it was central to most main tourist attractions...

A real find, this hotel offered everything we needed at a price we couldn't resist. The staff were friendly with Anna being a real star and a joy to talk to. Fantastic location close to all transport options and within easy walking distance of all the sights.

Best value in town, we had a family room with 2 bedrooms with balcony.Everything was clean and tidy. The location was perfect close to Syntagma square and very close to 3 very good eateries and a super cafe on the corner. You cant go wrong for the money.

The Hotel Myrto is centrally located and close (walking distance) to many of the attractions of Athens. It is a 10 minute walk to the X95 Express bus to the airport and Metro station. Syntagma Square and Monastiraki are in this same area, as are many museums, the Acropolis, restaurants, etc. My room was basic, nothing fancy, but was bright,...

Ok I know that the pictures from booking.com where far from reality but still that is expected. Rooms might be less fancy but where big and spacious and was more than enough for a family of 5 with 3 kids. 2 separate bedrooms and a bathroom with 2 separate big balconies. Room was clean , fridge handy for a few...

These people literally stole my money. I made a very simple error that could've been corrected very easily, but instead of making a small change, they denied any responsibility (it was their website's error) and would not refund my money, or allow me to use the funds toward a future date. Horrible treatment, horrible attitude, horrible people!

I made my booking 9 months in advance. The hotel charged my credit card within 24 hours after booking. After booking the Hotel Myrto Athens sent me a list of information that they required from me such as my phone number, whatsapp, viber, line. or whatever, my email address, my check-in and check-out time, a passport scan and last but...

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
