Typical Greek 3 star hotel.....if your taxi driver can find it..... you will be possibly shocked by the surroundings....but... it is clean and well run with excellent receptionists and then... out of the door... turn right....100 yards and visit all the fun of the Psirri district....it's where the Greeks eat......and after.. roof top terrace for a photo of the Parthenon...

This little hidden gem is a great base from which to explore Athens - it's close to restaurants, bars, transport and attractions. You can walk up to the Acropolis in half an hour if you really want to! Some rooms are bigger than others, but all are clean and comfortable. The staff is super friendly, the included breakfast is so...

Bit concerned about a city centre hotel in a noisy place like Athens.....No problem. Yes we were slap bang in the middle walking distance of most of the sites. But hotel was so relaxing and what excellent value. Extremely quiet ok we were 6th floor but still relaxing. Views from roof terrace exactly what it advertises with acropolis etc under...

A very clean, and good lacated hotel. Simpel but clean rooms and a good breakfast. The streets around the hotel are bit scary but there are a lot of good restaurants near by.Thesa reaurants are typical Greek and the food is also authentic.

We stayed at this hotel a few times while we were traveling through Greece. The rooms had a great view of the Acropolis (unless on the lower floors) but you could also go up to the rooftop which had amazing views. The rooms were simple, clean with everything you needed. The shower floods the bathroom everytime so don't leave anything...

We walked to the hotel from syntagma square at 2:00 in the morning as we were on a late flight. Although most of Athens walls are covered in graffiti and there are homeless people sleeping on the streets, we did not at all felt threatened but felt safe. Staff at hotel were friendly, checkin was straightforward. We stayed at this...

The hotel is very centrally located near the Acropolis and the main areas that any tourist would want to see. There are several squares with cafes and restaurants within steps of the hotel. Also, a short 5-10 minute walk to the more crowded shopping area around Ermou street and many food and drink choices around and near the Acroplis. The...

The Arion Athens Hotel was a great option in Athens for first timers like me and my husband. Complimentary breakfast served every morning from 7-10am with great options. My favorite part of the hotel was the rooftop garden, I was able to get great photos of the Acropolis at night and during the day. Some people may say that the...

The staff was very nice since we arrived . The room was also very nice, especially the view of the Parthenon right from our balcony. The bathroom walls ( yep, not the bathtub but the BATHROOM) are made from glass which is not see thru but if you like privacy is something you must consider but it is very beautiful....

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
