I travelled in February with my boyfriend to Greece. I arranged everything, though I was scared after I booked it and wanted to cancel (which I could not). I am glad I did not because Athens is so pretty, especially the beach part. The hotel was in a dodgy location, with crawlers around every corner which made me happy I...

First impressions of this place were bad. The cab driver who dropped us off insisted for us to leave all valuables at the hotel lock up and to be careful after dark in this area. The actual room was pretty standard, not the cleanest and the shower was broken. Would also advise women to be accompanied by a Male as...

The hotel is situated at a good distance of Plake which is great. If you're a girl who's travelling alone, it might be a little intimidating at times because of the neighborhood. The inhabitants are not accustomed to seeing young girls. You pay for what you get as others might of said. There is an elevator which is great and...

For half of our stay we had to have someone with a screwdriver come to our room every time we wanted to get in or out...Room was okay, just always wear shoes and don't look too close at the sheets. Every room has a balcony so that's a good place to drink and pretend you aren't in the ghetto of...

What a terrifying neighbourhood! Even the taxi driver warned us. Homeless ppl and drug addicts everywhere. The reception was so dirty that we wouldn't have stayed there even if our reservation had gone through. Which it didn't because they didn't email airbnb back to confirm but we showed up anyways

When we arrive to the hotel, there was a blond receptionist who did not help us and trate us so unpolitely. She did not do well her job at all. I dont think she is the right person for this position welcoming people. The "welcoming drinks" which we supoused to get when arriving to the hotel, was a lie. I...

These former reviews sum it up pretty well. If you're on a romantic vacation to Athens, then this really isn't the spot. However, if you're a wandering soul like me, who wants to see the dirt, Its a great hotel in central Athens. You get a little bit of downtown and some history just a short walk away.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, both in its' present form as the Soho and as in its previous guise as the Amaryllis Inn. Reading some of these reviews, I cannot help thinking that some contributors might be being just a little unfair about this hotel. OK, so it is not luxurious, and Mandandrou is not the best...

well we didn't have nightmare but the hotel is very dirty especially the hall. lifts, stairs and bar. The room quite good and a little bit clean, the location is the best thing which hotel has got, you can go everywhere by walk . They normally put on the reservation breakfast included but does not exist so do not go there thinking...
