Nice inexpensive hotel, staff incredibly helpful polite and everything with a smile. Room more than adequate not large but enough, bathroom / shower all clean and functions perfectly. Breakfast, as you would expect, hot and cold buffet, everything you would need to start the day. Happy days...😎

I spent 7 nights in this hotel. Its location is really perfect, very close to the Archeological Museum. Only 8 minutes walk from Omonia metro station. The hotel is located in the quiet area of Athens. I had the room on the 7th floor (702) with large terrace and beautiful view to the Acropolis and St. Isidore Church (on the...

We were a little worried when we pulled up to an area that looked derelict but felt better when we got into the hotel. it was modern and tidy inside which put us at ease. The room was a bit small but that was ok as we would be out exploring. However when we got in and went to sleep,...

We recently spent a week in Athens and stayed at the Museum Hotel. The staff were faultlessly obliging and helpful, even to the extent of fishing a piece of laundry off a glass roof, that had blown off our balcony on the 5th floor while drying! The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. The only criticism is...

Hotel is about a 10 minutes walk form omonia station or about € 5 in taxi. Hotel is located 5 minutes from a stop for the city tour buses at archaeological museum. Area has a lot of graffiti around but don't let this put you off .hotel is very clean and comfortable accommodation. Staff are very friendly and helpful with...

The breakfast wasn't as good as the breakfast we had at Athens Center Square hotel. The decor and furniture is a bit dated and the shower curtain sticks to you when you shower. The bed was very nice with good linen. Location is next to the National Archaeological Museum. We did get very good tips & advice on nearby cinemas...

At reception a friendly George warmly welcomed us, gave a detailed itinerary & we were given hot chocolate before being shown to our room. Very spacious, clean and quiet room with very comfortable bed. Location is also excellent & quiet, next door to museum and polytechnic. A short walk to the busy old part of Athens.Very Occasional Street dwellers, same...

I stayed here for a few days on my visit to Greece. Despite the geographic location of this property - close to the Exarchea neighbourhood - this is a wonderful property. Easily accessible from the bus stop/metro stations, with good connectivity to visit-worthy places in Athens. Take a terrace view room, and one gets a magnificent panoramic view of Athens,...

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
