This was a small but excellent hotel tucked in a corner at the end of Kolonaki, on the way to Exarchia. The hotel was comfortable and spacious, welcoming me with a free cocktail at the bar, complementary slippers and a toothbrush at a low price. This is great value for money and the staff are wonderful. 5 stars all the...

A beautifully rennovated hotel in the heart of Athens with parking lots available nearby. The rooms are very quiet, although in the center of the city, the bathrooms are clean with beautiful shower cabins, the bedsheets and towels are changed daily, the room gets cleaned daily, the roof bar has the most beautiful view and the staff is pretty helpful...

We visited Athens in July, and we spend one night in athens way hotel. The stuff are very polite and very helpful. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable. The only downside for this hotel is that it is located in a bad neighbourhood, wouldnt reccomend it for families. It is very close to the metro of Athens as...

Good and very friendly little city hotel with a small bar on the roof and outlook on the Lycabettus. Until the Acropolis is about 20minutes walk. The metro is 5 minutes away, to Piraeus we have 20 € paid for a taxi. Good breakfast until 11:30!

This is my second stay at Athens Way Hotel. Last year my wife and I spent a week at this chic boutique hotel, close to the city center. We were so impressed with the comfortable room, friendly staff, and affordable prices that we booked it again for our trip to Athens this year. One of our favorite perks is the...

Overall was good, the only thing that bothered me was the rudeness of the staff especially the girl fron the restaurant who busted into our room at 11 pm to bring our room service! Weird.. Called the reception and the woman there started yelling at me like I was staying there for free lol. Rude..

Location is ok. Price expensive for what you get. Bed comfort average. Breakfast not fresh mostly leftovers. Coffee bad. Hotel facilities, just a breakfast and bar area on the top. Reception personnel varies. One was not aware of a 24hour supermarket 20 meters away. Web pictures misleading.

The room was big enough, great shower, good flat tv, desk, wardrobe. You can hear everything in the aisle sometimes, but it wasn't a problem for us. The location is really nice during the day and seems a little bit scary in the night but there's nothing to fear, is quiet zone. It's 10 minutes walk to touristic area of...

Most tourist hotels anywhere near Plaka are expensive, I have been to Athens 9 times and never would have known about this place if it weren't for my friend. It is surprisingly cheap. It is a basic no frills hotel but the people that run the desk are polite and do speak English. I had a room on the 2nd...

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
