Finally had dinner here with a couple of friends last night. The food was super tasty and the staff are really trying to make it a great experience. Margaritas were perfect and the wine bang on. Perfect place to bring a date. Did I mention pool table?!

We had a very good time at Five Senses Antigua and highly recommend it. We are two couples who spent two nights there in the beginning of December, 2018 before we began a 7 day catamaran trip around the island. We reserved a unit in a building separate from the main building that had two full sized bedrooms, two full sized bathrooms, a large living room and kitchen and excellent closet space. The air conditioning worked well, each room had ceiling fans, and we had a deck so we could sit outside. The rooms were quiet. We had wifi in the unit that worked very will. Our unit had a latched gate with a driveway. It took about a minute to walk from our unit to the main building. Most of the rooms at 5 Senses are in the main building, which is where we ate breakfast and dinner. The rates are very reasonable. Five Senses is owned and run by Claudia (pronounced “Cloudia”), whose passion is cooking. Claudia provided free breakfasts, which were quite good. In addition, we had two excellent Italian meals for dinner at a very reasonable price. (Originally I was thinking about going to Sheer Rocks for dinner on the second night, but we were so happy with Claudia’s cooking that we decided to dine again with her.) It is an easy seven minute walk to Valley Church Beach, which is a gorgeous beach with nice sand. We spent an entire day at the Beach. We rented chairs and umbrellas. There is a very good restaurant called the Nest at the Beach and we ate lunch and had drinks there. The beach is good for swimming. We kayaked there. The snorkeling was not great because the beach is so sandy, but we saw a ray jump out of the water while we were kayaking. (Valley Church Beach is one of the places our catamaran stops at, which confirms how nice it is.). If you walk south on Valley Road past the entrance to this beach for a few more minutes, you get to Coco Beach, then Ffryes Beach and then Darkwood Beach, all of which are excellent. If you head north on Valley Road, which means turning right from the road where 5 Senses is located, it is about a 20 minute walk to Jolly Harbour Marina. Claudia had a driver meet us at the airport when we arrived at ANU. There was no charge for that. Claudia also arranged for another driver to drive us to Jolly Harbour Marina so we could drop off our luggage. He then gave us a tour of the island. There were no communication problems. Claudia responded to my emails promptly. Also, there is a car rental place that is a short walk away. I’m attaching a few photos of the Unit and the views. All four of us were very happy staying here and would return.

For all of us who like to feel like family when traveling. Claudia offers a warm welcome. Delicious breakfast and dinner, plenty of advice on what and how to do things and what to avoid. Conveniently located just outside Jolly Harbour.

My and wife visited Antigua for our 5th Wedding Anniversay late October and early November. We chose to stay at a Villa run by Claudia of Five Sense. It was clean and tidy, with two double bedrooms (one en-suite and one with separate but dedicated bathroom), nice lounge and kitchen. Both bedrooms had AC and there was free WiFi. Claudia operates on a B&B basis and provides a generous breakfast every morning at around 8.30 ( not to early). The location was perfect for beach (5-10 min walk) and Jolly Harbour development (15-20min walk). Scuba diving with Jolly Dive was available at Jolly Harbour which was perfect for me. Plenty of nice eateries locally for both lunch and dinner, along with Epicurean which is the islands premier supermarket. Good Value for money makes our rating a 5 Recommended highly.
