I find nothing to complain about Margarida da Praca. The hotel has fun, colorful rooms, flexible and friendly staff, nice table served breakfast and the location is very good, close to the river and the train station.

I stayed here three nights. Everything was comfortable and clean, my room was large, and the dinners we ate here were really good. We were across from the river, so had a nice view, but that also meant it was a bit noisy at night - my friends who had rooms in the back didn't have a view, but they...

We chose this on the basis of a glowing Lonely Planet review. On the plus side, the location of the hotel is excellent - it's very near the water, the main bars and attractions in town. The decor in the room was very romantic and stylish. Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn't working in August so we had to keep the...

The positives: - the décor is very original, bright pink wallpaper and a general 'retro' feel to the whole place with chic/baroque lampshades, funky cushions, etc; - the staff were helpful and pleasant; - generally clean; - the location is fantastic: right on the seafront with a stunning view (check out the 3rd floor terrace) and also a stone's throw...

The good stuff - the staff is the best, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a number of choices and all was very good. The location is perfect and underground parking was only a few paces away. We liked the funky decor and the room was clean and the beds comfortable. Wifi was the fastest we've had on this...

This is a great centrally located option in Viana do Castelo. We arrived without a reservation and we promptly served. I found the rooms and other hotel decor a little too colourful but it has obviously been tended to with care. This place is one of the only hotel breakfasts that I have found worth the €7 I paid (really...

This is a tiny and characterful hotel in which you immediately feel at ease. The ambient and the rooms are simple but at the same time tastefully and meticulously decorated. My room had a nice tiny balcony facing a small beautiful pedestrian street of the town center behind the hotel. The bathroom was very clean and the high quality shower...

This is a very good hotel. Rooms are decorated with care, they are exceptionally clean, the beds are comfortable with blankets available in lieu of the duvet/doona if wished, and the shower terrific. The toiletries in the bathroom are of high quality. The staff speak fluent English, and are helpful and very friendly. It is unusual to find a hotel...

We have been on a pleasant working trip to Viana and stayed there for three quiet nights. Our room was orientated toward silent inner city street. The river bench itself is quite noisy during the day – main road – but the position of the Hotel is useful for easy walking around all town. Álvaro Siza´s Library in neighborhood makes...

I've stayed at Margarida da Praça last March in a 2 days business trip to Viana do Castelo. I only stayed one night. The hotel is very centric: in the hart of Viana, in front of river, right next to main street. The decoration is a mix of fashion ans bright colours and textures. A little female, imo. Bedrooms are...
