Typical of the AC hotels, AC Porto (or exceeds) meets the expectations of people using that chain - clean room, good value, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are typical of what we have seen with AC - simply furnished but new-looking and clean. The...More

The AC Porto seems like the perfect hotel for people--with cars--who wish to use Porto as their base to explore northern Portugal and Galicia. It's right on the expressway, the parking in front is free, and the metro stop is across the street. You'll be...More
Everything was fine about this hotel, nice design, great staff, good breakfast, but the location is less than ideal. We had a view on the highway and it's fairly far from the downtown area. Too far for an evening walk in the old streets of...More

The AC Marriott hotel is out of the town of Porto. However the Metro train takes you there in 10 minutes at a cost of 1.50 Euros. From the station you can walk to anywhere in downtown. The metro station near the hotel is Estadio Do Dragao and you get off at Trindade station to go to downtown. The river is a 10 minute walk from the Trindade Metro station.Just adjacent to the hotel is a shopping plaza which is very convenient for groceries, food and coffee. there are restaurants and cafes in the plaza. if you stay by the river , you will pay 3 times more for the hotel and it is noisy and the rooms are tiny.
