Travellers' Choice
InPátio Guest House is located in the Ribeira quarter, classified as Unesco world heritage and heart of Porto's historic center. In a fully recovered building dating from the late 19th century, we focus on simplicity and comfort to provide you with a friendly atmosphere.Every room has its own design, inspired in Porto’s traditional construction and adornment materials. Facilities include private bathroom with underfloor heating and towel dryer, air conditioning, minibar, safety box and TV, as well as free WiFi and cable internet. In fine weather you can enjoy our unique breakfast, in the Pátio. From there, in a short walk, you can visit some of our major places of interest: Porto’s Cathedral (Sé), Torre dos Clérigos, Luiz I bridge, Palácio da Bolsa or the port wine cellars. Alfandega’s museum and congress center, and S. Bento’s train and metro stations are also within a 5 min. walk. We’ll be happy to provide any assistance you may need during your stay (airport transfer, ticket or restaurant booking, car or bicycle rental, whatever), and invite you to (re)discover Porto from a characteristic and picturesque courtyard of the old town.

We thoroughly enjoyed this gem of a boutique hotel. There are so many reasons we will return here the next time we visit: the hotel is very near transportation, restaurants and all the sites in Porto; the rooms are all unique (we stayed in the Stone Room) and are spacious, very well equipped and comfortable; the breakfasts are wonderful and very filling plus they vary every day with new items from the farms of Portugal and I can't speak more highly of the the hosts Olga and Fernando who are so gracious and helpful invert way. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet courtyard and is not readily visible from the street so I suggest you contact Olga before visiting for directions.

Outstanding experience! Hosts Olga and Fernando pay attention to every detail that adds up to a special stay — from fresh cookies in our room each day to homemade, locally sourced, and elegant breakfasts! The room was charming and impeccable — and the location perfectly located in the center of the historic district. Such a great find!

In patio Guest House in Porto is the best B and B that we have ever stayed in - Olga and Fernando provide a wonderful welcome and fantastic breakfasts (the best and most varied food that we have ever had), but they are also very generous, warm and extraordinarily helpful - nothing is too much trouble. No other B and B that we have stayed in comes near to In Patio, which is also a five minute walk from the waterfront and very central.

I do understand that a lot of people are scared to travel these days and stay at home. You don’t want to get sick or spread the virus any further. But I’m sure if you are able and want to travel in these stressful times, InPatio Guest House is the best place where you can be! First of all Portugal has one of the best guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus. They have a special “clean & safe” label for accommodations who follow this guidelines. InPatio guesthouse has that label. You will feel completely safe. There even will be waiting a mask and desinfection gel for you in the room. Porto is also a very nice city to visit. It has stunning views, history, great food and even lovely beaches close by. It’s not hard to see why it’s becoming more and more popular. But the most important thing is that the owners will do everything and more to make it the best stay possible. Even with a lot less guests and in these uncertain times you will get the same service as the other reviews mentioned before (a fantastic breakfast, sweets in the room, suggestions to eat,...). They didn’t loose there friendly smile! We stayed in many lovely and fantastic places, but the warmth you will experience in InPatio Guest House is extremely rare, and truly one of a kind! So don’t be scared, you will have a good and safe time... I’m glad we didn’t cancel our trip...
