Great old boutique hotel in a great location. Right in the middle of touristic Porto and you can walk to everything from there. Excellent service as well. No elevator and all rooms are above the first floor, so if stairs aren't your thing, neither is this hotel. Breakfast is a bit lacking. More of a continental breakfast. Overall, a great stay.

I travelled to Porto to watch the Champions league final with my 19 year old son. I wanted a centrally located hotel which was close to a metro, river restaurants and bars. The Cale Guest House proved to be an excellent choice. On arrival at Porto airport we were in no rush so we took the Metro at a cost of 8 euros and after 60 minutes we were a short walk away from our location..... The Guest House was perfectly located and the host Pedro was attentive both before we travelled and throughout our stay. The food and atmosphere on both sides of the river are superb.... After shopping at the excellent El Corte Ingles outlet on our final day, the return journey to the airport needed to be quicker so we took an Uber which cost only 16 euros and took just 20 minutes. The city of Porto is beautiful and retains much of its medieval charm. Compact and easy to get around its a must for any city travellers who want a short break. I would highly recommend the Cale Guest House.

I stayed here for 5 nights. Check in was easy even though I arrived late at night. Breakfast was very fresh, varied and plentiful. The reception staff were the best I've ever met. Very friendly and helpful. They are a real asset to the guest house. The rooms were clean, with free tea and cookies available all the time. The guest house is located near shops, cafés / restaurants and within walking distance of the main attractions & river. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Porto.

Do not hesitate to book your stay to Porto here. The guest house is fantastically located, right in the middle of the old town.It is also spotlessly clean and amazing value for money. The continental breakfast was fabulous, but what made our stay extra special was the wonderful reception and care by the staff . I don't know who owns the place but they need to give these people a pay rise , we would go back because they were so amazing xxThankyou xx

Look no further. This place is centrally located and you can walk to all of the main sites. The beach is a short tram ride away. The staff were so friendly and helpful as if you were a guest in their home. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast served each day is great too.
