We were upgraded to a suite when we arrived, so our room was big and had a wonderful view and balconies onto the pedestrian shopping street below. The hotel itself is really lovely and thoughtfully renovated. Our room was simple and chic, and perfectly clean. The beds and chairs were a bit uncomfortable, but we didn't spend much time there...

The people of Porto were very warm and friendly. Excellent location of the hotel being in the centre of everything and a close walk to other attractions. Can't wait to visit again!

The hotel facade, the lobby and the breakfast room were beautiful and respected the history of the hotel. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. There was no free wifi, which was a disappointment. Hotel is nicely located in the main shopping street close to a metro station, but not that close to the river Douro.

IN a good way.If you have a car,be prepared to park illegally and sprint (i don't do sprint ) up a pedestrians only Mall so that the staff can give you instructions as to how to get to the parking. It would have been helpful to have had this info ahead of time. Parking is extra.Staff were very attentive and...

Really enjoyed the convenient location on the pedestrian-only street. We were traveling with the Rick Steves Portugal tour (12 excellent days!) and stayed for 2 nights. All of us agreed that none of the rooms have any view whatsoever, so the small windows looking into the building next door wasn't ideal. But .... convenient to everything; very nice large buffet...

Other reviews are generally spot on in their assessment of this place: nice façade & lobby with good access to the metro, but very small rooms and limited breakfast selection. The hotel does not offer complimentary wifi internet access, which is a serious oversight. The spectacle of guests crouched over a single internet terminal in the lobby is unseemly. Frankly,...

We stayed here for 3 nights and the key draw-cards of this hotel are its great central location in Baixa, proximity to the metro, and its beautifully refurbished common areas on the ground floor. The lobby area and the Windsor Bar have been lovingly restored in dark, luxurious fabrics giving it a plush atmosphere, perfect for a nightcap after dining...

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for four nights during a recent visit to Porto. We came as tourists, and arrived at the airport outside of town. It was a quick and easy train ride from the airport to a station within a block of the hotel, and we were grateful for the accessibility given Porto's hills and...

we stayed two nights in the hotel in 2012. the hotel has 3 stars, but even has small gym (four mashines, but you ll be able to go for a run). Breakfast was very limited, but settings of the hotel is very "noble". Staff at reception was helpful and friendly. Location is convenient for a city visit.
