Great size bathroom, outside area on top floor, the buffet area is from another era (incredible). Located centrally, lots of shopping on the street and the mall is just down the street (need to look for it) with a top floor food court. Definitely good value. Basic beds, I like a firm bed but my wife prefers something softer. Internet...

We had a very hard time finding the hotel because the street signs are poor and the street in front of the hotel is closed to traffic. We arrived at rush hour and traffic was horrible in the city. The hotel parking is semi expensive but well worth it if you can find it (hidden behind the hotel on a...

Oldest hotel in Porto, refurbished some time ago and in need of substantial TLC. failing plumbing and peeling decoration throughout. We were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge, but our room at the front of the building was not double glazed and the street noise was intrusive until the early hours of the morning. Internet access is 2...

As other reviewers have said, this hotel is in a great location in the historic old town of Porto. It appears to have been recently refurbished too. It's in a pedestrianised shopping street which is quiet at night. The public rooms are magnificent, and the staff delightful, friendly and helpful. However what lets it down IMHO are the guest rooms...

Spent two nights in May. On walking into foyer first impression was wow! Chandeliers, elegant furnishings, yes very grand. Then I walked in to the room, oops for a moment I thought I'd walked through the door into another hotel or should that be motel. It must be the most drab dismal room I have ever stayed in. Dark carpet,...

Great location, although away from the harbour, and good public rooms. The food is indifferent and the bedrooms vary a lot. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby though, particularly the café Majestic.

This hotel has a good location, right on the main shopping street of Porto. The lobby is lovely and the lounge serves a great glass of vinho verdhi for 2 euro. I was hoping for so much more when I entered the guest room, unfortunately it just felt like I was entering a college dormitory. The room and bathroom were...

Quite convenient in the town centre. Room as fine for me as I was there by myself and only one night, but it would have been too small for longer periods. I guess I would go back again for a short trip.

Location is very good, especially if you think of shopping, right there in the middle of the city, on a shopping street with no traffic. Common areas are very impressive too, with the colonial grandeur, very spacious and cozy at the same time. The rooms though are very dull in comparison, remade with small attention to detail, quite ok, and...
