The hotel is centrally located and very close to all attractions in Porto. The closest metro/subway stop is some distance away (especially with luggage), but still very manageable. The facility and rooms were good, clean and modern. There is a lounge and large seating area where groups can meet to lounge. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very close to the train station and the shopping área. Sightseeing bus is a good option to tackle the lovely, but unleveled, ground of the city and its neighborhood. A nice place is the Mercado do Bonsucesso, which has good restaurants and eating área, in front of a shopping center near Casa da Música. Afterwards, avenida da...

Driving into the rabbit warren of Porto streets can be a challenge, but this Mercure property is worth it! Excellent location close to everything you want to see and do in Porto - and a great staff to boot! We stayed here 2 days and would come back again tomorrow! Two oddities about the place: look DOWN for the room...

The hotel is clean, rooms are good size and clean. Location is good for tourism the only issue is that the streets behind the hotel are not safe. View from the room excellent Issue with the heating- It was not needed, the room was extremely hot and no way to turn it off.

The hotel is centrally located in Porto. It is easily accessible from the Sao Bento train station and is about 30 minutes on foot from the Campanha Station. The price is reasonable. The room was quiet, clean and well appointed. The staff is friendly and the bar is well stocked and comfortable for a night cap. The breakfast is good....

Went to Porto in Dec 16 for a 2 night break and selected this hotel as the price was reasonable and the location seemed good. After taking the railway out from the airport to Sao Bento we were a little lost staring blankly at our map until a very kind local came over and gave us directions. The hotel is...

Perhaps not in the most central part of Porto and without views but the rooms were excellent as was the breakfast and service. The hotel is done in a tasteful modern style. We would strongly recommend this hotel.

We had a nice stay at the Mercure Porto Centro Hotel. The rooms were nice; ours was toward the back of the hotel, looking toward the river. The bathroom was big with a nice shower (great water pressure and hot at all times of the day). The mattress was very firm, which is something that suits us but may be...

As a Mercure hotel you know what to expect from it, and it delivers. Comfort without exhuberance and appropriate service. The hotel design is really new and pleasant. Everything was new in the room and worked fine. Although centrally located, the hotel is not really in the heart of the turistic area.

Booked this hotel for a weekend break and it turned out to be spot on for us. Got the metro from the airport to Bolhao and walked down hill to the hotel (with a stop at the Majestic Cafe for breakfast), Sao Bento is closer but steeply uphill to the hotel. Friendly and helpful reception staff informed us we had...
