This hotel was the most disgusting place out of two dozen hotels that I stayed during a recent 2-month vacation in Western Europe. When I arrived at Residencia Porto Madrid at 1:30pm, I was told that the room was not ready. I left and came back later to check-in and pay for my room. Immediately after paying, I was told...

This hotel is very affordable and located perfectly in the center. The rooms and facilities are very basic and there was a shared bathroom for our room. Nevertheless, thats what we paid for so we expected it. Rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly and spoke pretty good English as well. All in all we enjoyed our stay!

It seams like the hotel owner want this hotel to fall apart. I don't think they have fix something broken or cleaned since they openedthe hotel. The personel thou is so nice and helpfull. And the location of the hotel is perfect with the good price. But this i defenitely my first and last time staying in this hotel. EVER.

Got an excellent deal on this one. It is centrally located and the staff here is very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of good dining and shopping options nearby. Worth the money spent. Recommended for a short stay.

We recently travelled around asia, so we are used to non-luxury hotels - but every hotel should fullfill some standards, which this one doesn't. For example there are Fotos on the Internet from the different categories of rooms, we booked a room for 15€/night - the picture of that categorie showed a bright room WITH window, besides at the homepage...

Location is good, you can walk to Praça de Riberia, Praça de Batalha (major sightseeing buses stop here) and the other city centre attractions. Rooms are clean, hot water is always available. No shower gels or shampoos, bring them yourselves. Beds are very old, furthermore the edge of one of the springs of the mattress was close to the surface...
