This hotel is amazing. So beautiful with a fantastic history (read the book about it in your room) Upon arrival, we were greeted at the door and our bags taken from taxi to reception, where the staff booked us in and explained everything. We were given maps, vouchers for offers in the spa and for free drinks and food. The reception/bar is beautiful with original features, blended with new so effortlessly. The original long dark walkway to the back lifts, continues the historical journey, although to get to our room we could have gone up the main restored stair case and got a lift from there. Our room was a top floor superior with fantastic views across the city and the Cathedral. We booked with friends and has room next to each other with could actually be adjoining by closing off the outer door, which would be fantastic for families. (601/602) There are large opening doors in the room with a small balcony space looking over the rear garden area (central to all rooms) the curtains provided allow privacy and complete blackout if needed. The room (601) has a separate bathroom and toilet, which had everything you could possibly need why on holiday. There is a useful bidet attachment in the toilet, and the bathroom has an excellent shower area with 2 showers, a rainfall shower and a super strong hand held one (which was instrumental in easing the pain in my shoulder). Towels are all brilliant white and stored under the sink along with a box with a hairdryer, another with a range of useful extras, such a vanity set, shower cap and comb. There is even a set of scales for weighing yourself to see how much heavier you are after eating all the beautiful food they provide. In the shower there is shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and at the sink, handwashing and hand/body lotion. In the room there is a coffee machine with a decaf and normal coffee and when I worked out how to use it, it made wonderful coffee. (You can also use this machine for the water for tea) In the drawer under the coffee machine you will find a selection of teas and cups and saucers (also miniature bottles of alcohol- charged to room if used) there is a well stocked mini bar in the fridge - also the price list The large, lit, wardrobe holds the dressing gowns, slippers, shoehorn and shoe brush as was as a safe. There were two large drawers in ours too. Each bedside table had (hidden) drawers and thankfully for me there was an Apple and USB chargers in the wall. (I forgot my plug)

Hotel's Favourite
We spent three nights at this amazing hotel in January, recommended by our agent. It's right in the heart of the city on Flores, one of the main streets, making it easy to walk to most places. Unexpectedly, every road is cobbled, so definitely wear sensible shoes here! The hotel was a derelict building but has been beautifully transformed. The front façade is still the original, and the rest has been tastefully rebuilt. We stayed in the older part, and the restoration work has been exceptionally well done. In the room, there's a booklet detailing the renovation, and it's pretty stunning. The hotel staff were always accommodating; we never had to wait in line for service. They were helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfast was served in a very casual and laid-back setting from 7:00am to 10:30 am every day. The buffet was outstanding, offered in a separate room, providing plenty of space to choose and enjoy your meal. The rooms were well-appointed; we had a corner room with a spacious bathroom. The bathroom had a separate shower, bath, and WC, with two basins and Bulgari toiletries. My only small issue was that the wardrobe contained drawers, making it a bit tricky to hang long clothes easily. We also enjoyed a few drinks in the bar, which was quiet most days, but it was January, not one of the busier months. Highly recommend the cocktails, and we even got two complimentary drinks before 6 pm, a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again if we visit Porto in the future.

This is a very nice hotel that is centrally located in Porto. Pro's: Great central location. Well decorated lobby and rooms. The rooms were quiet, despite the hotel's central location. The bed was very comfortable. There wes a large, modern bathroom and shower. Very nice. Housekeeping was efficient and friendly. Friendly, helpful front desk staff (mostly) who went out of their way to help with reservations etc. Con's: There was very little storage space in the rooms. Some of the front desk staff seemed as if they wanted to be somewhere else. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay, and will return. 4 stars instead of 5 stars due to Con #2.

Portobay Flores was a lovely hotel. Well located within walking distance to lots of sights and on the lovely rue de Flores! The hotel is clean and staff are helpful. The room is clean and comfortable with an excellent shower and rituals toiletries. Spa was a bit small and the pool is a shallow plunge pool which wasn’t very warm. Overall would recommend as it’s an excellent hotel in a perfect location and the breakfast is beyond expectations!

Had a wonderful weekend break at the Portobay Flores, the hotel and staff are wonderful. We had a lovely room with an exceptionally comfortable bed, haven’t slept that well in ages, so peaceful on the 7th floor. The breakfast was superb with very attentive staff. We had been trying to book a particular restaurant before we arrived with no success, the receptionist said she would try for us, got it booked straight away. The position of the hotel is ideal for getting around to all the attractions and the station is easily walkable although we had a taxi to and from the airport. As had been said before all the streets are cobblestones so sensible footwear is advisable especially if it’s wet as it was when we were there!

Great location, great staff, great rooms. Stayed here for our time in Porto. Location is great. The hotel staff were what you expect from a 5-star hotel. Getting the buffet breakfast was a good call as the food was good and plentiful. If you're thinking of travelling here by car, consider handing in your rental car for your stay. This hotel is in old town so you can walk everywhere and driving + parking is a huge hassle. Easier and cheaper to just give up your rental for a couple days than deal with parking.

We had a great stay at the gorgeous PortoFlores. This is a charming hotel, where they have really managed to blend the old and new. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Loved the sauna, the pool is a little small. Breakfast is great, with the best granola ever. We booked a suite which I found a little tight. However really clean and comfortable. I would definitely come back to stay.

The hotel is a charming converted church in the old city. Staff was helpful and efficient. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Very nice shower stall - plenty of towels. Willian greeted us and checked on our heating unit personally. Mafalda helped plan our itinerary and suggested local restaurants that aded to the flavor the city.

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to many sights. The staff are all very friendly and willing to help and go the extra mile. We stayed in a top floor superior room and the view was amazing. The room was also quiet too, very dark and the facilities were perfect. The breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Porto!!m

This hotel was simply lovely! Amazing location, great facilities, comfortable room and bedding, very quiet. Our room had a little balcony on the courtyard and was very quiet. The staff was also very helpful and accommodating. The spa facilities are also charming, but we only used the pool so I cannot comment on the services. Highly recommend.
