Very special. Authentic, gracious, impeccable. Gorgeous views (from inside and out). Large well appointed interesting rooms. Easy, comfortable outdoor space. Gourmet breakfast. Welcoming hosts. Great local insight (if wanted).
We choose Private Villa out of the blue, my clients certainly were very pleased , it couldn't have be any better for any of us..good location, lovely garden, great rooms, excellent breakfast and the perfect host who does anything and everything to make your Day ! Sofia is the Private Villa, she does it all, tell me about...and her charming side kick is pretty cool too! Merci beaucoup Sofia
Loved this place . There are only eight rooms , and they are spotless. Great breakfast , lovely patio outside , it was great to have somewhere quiet to just chilll and read during the heat of the day. We stayed in room 5 , a corner room with a great view of the river and Gaia . We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Porto . Sofia is a wonderful host .
Perfect location with an excellent view. There’s a nice garden area to sit and sip port or wine. Porto is very hilly so wear good walking shoes. Private Villa Porto is perfectly located between The lively center and the ocean front and breakfast is available every day. Very clean and offers everything you need. It is amazing to me that large expensive hotels often have things that don’t work but everything well maintained at Private Villa Porto. Sofia was phenomenal! She really goes out of her way to make you feel at home and is always available. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Sofia!
Private Villa is a wonderful place to stay at - can only highly recommend it. Rooms are nice, everything is spotless clean, breakfast is fresh and good, there is a wonderful garden with beautiful views to relax in and there is coffe and tea +snacks available all day. Absolutely great place, but what makes this exceptional is the absolutely fantastic manager Sofia, who is the heart of this wonderful place, she makes you feel you are a friend and dear guest and not only one in the row of anonymous tourists. On top of this she truly knows her city and all recommendations she gave were spot on. It is only about 10 min walk from the city centre, and if you do not feel to walk after a long day we found Uber convenient with a charge of not more than 3-4€ from the area of the railwaystation it is truly affordable. Thanks Sofia for a wonderful stay, you and Private Villa will stay in our hearts.…
"A little out of the way from the center with a steep climb/descent; but then Porto is a hilly. Very manageable."Read full review
