Super convenient place. Nice restaurants right across the street, along with a bakery serving the best assortment of eclairs ever! A convenience store right at the entrance to the hostel. and the main bar street around the corner on the next street down the hill. The staff were all very cordial with me and I am 57. This isn't a...

The hostel itself is average, the dorm rooms are quite small and could be cleaner, but still OK. However, the staff is really friendly and the whole decor has a really nice and personal touch. Also, location is very close to the party streets (so bring earplugs or use your time to party yourself)

stayed 4 nights: Pros: great location (all of the main sites in walking distance), friendly and helpful staff (Had great recommendations for stuff to do in the city as well as visiting nearby cities near Porto), ok breakfast, pretty clean for a hostel, good atmosphere as well. Cons: The busy street outside was noisy at night, hot water was not...

We visited Porto for 4 days and 4 nights in late February. We were four college-age girls backpacking for a spring break trip, and the Porto Downtown Hostel was perfect. Cheap price (about 9 euros per night), generous breakfast included (toast, meat, cheese, rolls, cereal, milk, juice, tea, and coffee), free reliable wifi, friendly staff, and helpful information at the...

We went to this hostel for a few days because of the good reputation of this house. But the truth is it is situated right in the middle of the pubscene in the city. The house was ful of drunk people with the noise level of a train station. Half of the hostel was smelling for alcohol and the druck...

Thistime we really made a wrong desition because this is not a place to be for sure. Problems over problems all the time and really unfriendly staff. Vera, one of the girls who is running this hostel was spacial unfriendly and nötig interrested in her guests. Cleanness is an unknown word at this hostel and the guests are in the...

The location of the hostel is good with restaurants and bars all around. The first night we stayed in a private room with two beds, which was nice. The next night we stayed in a six bed dorm, which obviously wasn't as good. For the value, I was okay with it. I had to pay €2 for a towel the...

Found this hostel just by chance at a noisy place, right in the middle of the main partying and pubscene in Porto. It's at the first floor of an old house but it looks inside really much better as outside my friends. There is aan elevator behind a curtain but thisone is not working for sure so take the stairs...

Great location, right in the nightlife centre of the city, close to the river and close to everything you need! Clean rooms, a clean kitchen and really nice staff! Amazing breakfast included! Definately the place to stay when you're in Porto!
