Great experience! We drove a rent a car from Porto through beautiful mountian roads using Google maps. Becareful with the GPS in the rentals, they are not as reliable (you can download Google maps in your phone while online then use it off line for your entire trip) The vinyard is beautiful! We rented two of the wine barrels for a girls trip. It included a high end wine tour with wine tasting and a small bottle of their famouse Port wine in the room. The barrels are bigger inside then they look, very comfortable and unique. Book reservations for dinner, you will not be disappointed. Service is exceptional! We will definitely be returning.

I wanted so much to give Pacheca a rating of five but I could not due to the poor experience I had with online reservations and the front desk once I arrived. Here are the pros and cons.
Cons first
1. I made Reservations for the 2 night stay in a wine barrel and also checked my online reservation for two dinners @ 50US dollars per dinner. Upon checking in I was greeted with stares from both women at the front desk versus a warm greeting. It was like I was some inconvenience upon entering and I had to let both women know that I was checking in for 2 nights. I then asked about dinner reservations and was asked if I made reservations for dinner. I said I did online and they both told me that I needed to make reservations for dinner. Seriously I thought I did that already. The next open reservation was at 8:30 pm. Ok not going so good so far.
2. I was taken to my wine barrel in a golf cart but no one explained to me where the restaurant was or where winetasting was available or where the pool was located or any other information. I did not feel feel very welcome at this point.
3. Finding the main restaurant was like going through a maze in a cornfield. There were no signs to direct anyone to the restaurant so I proceeded to ask one of the staff at the pool who guided me to the main restaurant.
Now the pros
1. Thank you for the wonderful stay in a wine barrel. The views were fantastic. No one explained about the secret door in the barrel for breakfast so the first morning at 8:30 AM there was a knock at my door for room service and as I opened the door the person delivering my breakfast explained to me about the secret door. It is a pretty cool idea.
2. Thank you to the great staff at wine tasting. I did manage to find wine tasting the afternoon that I arrived and purchased a bottle of wine. I then walked over to the room where a group just finished Wine stomping and they were enjoying a group lunch/dinner and I was told I had to make reservations. Wait! I left a note on my online reservation about wanting to wine taste, stomp, and have dinner with group. Well that never happened but the wonderful staff at wine tasting the next day at least got me in for grape stomping as the group meal in the caves is not offered every day.
3. Thank you for the 5 star meals and service at the main restaurant each evening. I’m not sure if adding the dinners to my online reservation was worth it! It only added to the confusion and disconnect between on line reservations and the front desk and the restaurant staff. My total reservation with 2 dinners had to be prepaid 1 week prior to arrival.
4. Excellent wine! It would be helpful to have shipping information.
5. Beautiful pool and excellent pool staff for food and drinks! Top notch staff at the pool!
A few issues with on line reservations and the front desk staff but my stay in the wine barrel, food at the main restaurant and the wine tasting staff were excellent!

I spent 2 days at Quinta da Pacheca on a getaway with my boyfriend and we had a truly amazing stay.
The property is stunning and well kept and surrounded by beautiful vineyards and great views over the Douro River.
We stayed at the Wine barrels and we loved how cute and unique they are.
The rooms have an outdoor area perfect to relax and enjoy the complimentary Port wine overlooking the vineyards just before sunset.
We had dinner at the restaurant both nights and the food was delicious. It was a perfect balance of Portuguese and International cuisine that went perfectly with the wine from Quinta da Pacheca.
If you are a wine lover or looking for a different experience in one of the most beautiful regions in Portugal, Quinta da Pacheca is a must.

Unfortunately a poorly handled situation by the utterly unhelpful management team meant that our visit could not go ahead as planned. We were booked to attend a friend’s wedding on the premises back in July and had a wine barrel room booked for 3 nights, we thought it could double as a romantic break for the two of us as well. Sadly a couple of days before we were due to arrive we had experienced a death in the family which resulted in us no longer having childcare for our 1 year old daughter. Originally it was just going to be the two of us attending and a family member was organised to babysit our daughter in our absence. When this occurred we decided the only way we could go was to take our daughter with us. A slight change, but not impossible as we have travelled with her before. I called the airline and sorted her flight, then called the hotel to check whether they would be able to supply a travel cot for her or if we should bring our own. I was surprised to be told by a woman there that we could not bring our daughter as there was no room for a travel cot in our apparently too small wine barrel room and that as the hotel was fully booked for the wedding there was no alternative, and that we could not bring her. I explained the situation and asked whether we could switch rooms with someone else, as the wine barrels are meant to be a premium I asked whether another guest could be upgraded perhaps, and we could take their more basic, but by the sounds of it larger room, and was told that this was something we would need to do ourselves by contacting other guests. As we didn’t really know anyone else attending the wedding this wasn’t possible. After much back and forth we had to make the difficult decision for one of us to stay behind with our daughter, so my husband attended on his own. We lost out on our cancelled flights and having paid a premium for this room to then only have one person attend was a real shame. I would have expected more help from such an establishment for what I think is a pretty straightforward request. What would have happened if we had arrived with our daughter? Not a great experience.

We’ve been there with friends, me and my husband arrived earlier and we saw a car crashed in a place where there was no signs, the car went down through a stair. The lady who was taking us to our room said that in a week before another car had the same accident. When our friends arrived with their car they were traped in the same web, and crashed their car too. Someone from the hotel came and said that it was the first time it happened, not knowing we saw the previous accident.
Very disappointing. It’s so simple and easy to avoid such things by puting something on the way, so the drivers get warned.
It just ruins the whole experience, to arrive somewhere with an accident

The property is beautiful and the hotel is ultra new attached to a more historic original building - not a great architectural combination. The wine tour is delightful and informative, and fairly slick. The rooms are not overly large but the glass door separating the bed from the bathroom is a failure if you like any level of privacy. The pool is beautiful but small and was filled to the brim with people when we visited. The restaurant has poor service and a sparse menu, unless you like cod. The 6 euro cold bread service was a bit much to take. Breakfast is included and not very good. And the restaurant didn’t open until 8 am! So much for an early start. And if you like coffee, especially in the morning, bring your own. The spa is terribly overpriced for this country (€55 mani where I pay €10 in Lisbon). Overall it was nice for two days but we had more fun and food in and around Regua and the price doesn’t really justify the experience or the buckle and diming on top of it.

We couldn't have been more excited for our stay in the barrel, couples massage, dinner and wine tasting. We were scheduled to depart 8/31, and on 8/30 the EU placed a nonessential travel restriction to the EU from the US due to Covid. We needed to cancel our trip, as we were unsure how and where it would be imposed. The cancellation was incredibly disappointing, but completely out of our hands. I have emailed three times requesting a refund or even requested switching our reservation, and haven't received a response. It is also important to note, they were incredibly responsive until we were unable to go on out trip. Beware!!!

We stayed at the Wine Barrel's to celebrate my mothers birthday. The rooms are unique and the hotel has everything you would expect from a place like Quinta da Pacheca.
The staff is friendly and the property grounds are perfect for a walk and with some incredible views over the Douro River.
The restaurant has some delicious options with a balance of tradicional and international fusion.
You have a complimentary wine tasting experience during your stay and that was one of the highlights of the entire stay.
The swimming pool area is perfect to relax and there is also a Spa and a water circuit if you are in the mood to relax.
Highly recommended experience and I am sure I will be back

We chose Quinta de Pacheca because of its reputation as a winery and the restaurant. The property was lovely but we were disappointed it did not have view of river. Winery was so busy with tour buses all day that only time they could offer hotel guests was 545 pm. Even at that time, tourist buses were still lingering. Room was nice but nothing special. Dinner at restaurant was good, although my husband’s meat was significantly undercooked and we were tightly squeezed in between two other tables who fortunately were filled by friendly guests. Maitre D’ was a bit rude… in fact, he came by and kicked the sommelier as he tried to explain the wine to us. Guess he thought he was lingering too long but felt very awkward for the poor guy to be publicly kicked for this! Maybe our experience was just unfortunate but not sure I would choose to return to this property with so many others available in the region.

I had reservations in September, and was unable to stay due to Covid issues. Ricardo from Quinta da Pacheca has been giving me the run around ever since. He has stopped returning my emails requesting a refund. They initially said they needed an updated credit card, so I provided it for the refund. They then said they needed my banking routing number for a refund, which I provided. Since that time, I have not received a refund nor has anyone responded to my emails. It is incredibly frustrating of a well established hotel, and I can't fathom this level of terrible cusomer service. I can't recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. If anything happens, don't for a second think you will recieve a refund.

I took a train from Lisbon to Porto, stayed 3 nights in Porto. Then took a train from Porto to Regua. From Regua station, it’s a 5mins ride to the hotel. The trains are pretty comfortable, especially the newer ones.
Iam not sure. Best to check via online. Gorgeous place.
ImpossÃvel responder sua pergunta, pois não nos lembramos dos preços. Ademais, o preço depende do que forem comer e beber. O certo é que a comida é boa e o vinho também.
Abraços.
