From the moment you step through the gated entrance you know this hotel will live up to expectations. A small and friendly place where the owners were hands on we couldn't have wished for a better hotel. The breakfasts were fine with a cooked option and fresh fruit every day. A bonus was that it was lovely to be able... More

The hotel, the staff, the facilities, the location and the rooms, are perfect for the making of a wonderful holiday. We loved it. Thank you... We have stayed at Vila Vicencia before and will certainly do so again.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday here and had a lovely time. We picked the hotel as it was listed as small and friendly. We much prefer smaller more personal hotels. We felt very safe here, you have a key to get through a gate, so people cannot just wander in. It has a small pool and a... More

Lovely find! Very pretty garden, quiet, lovely to sit outside whilst having breakfast, staff are great too 👍 loads of restaurants nearby, the one next door is good & gives 10% discount to residents. (Worth upgrading the room too) There's a lovely friendly bar down near the lidos on the sea front with a great view of the spectacular sunsets!🌅... More

Quaint and Quirky villas around a lovely garden and pool. We paid for room with garden view, balcony or terrace through Thomson. We had more of a cage than balcony but did overlook the pool. Agree with previous comments regarding need to replace pillows - breakfast perfectly adequate - local restaurants not especially good - pool and garden lovely and... More

First time we've gone to a smaller hotel - and we loved it! So friendly ...so clean and bursting with atmosphere. Our favourite was Cecilia who never stopped smiling- even when she came in earlier especially to do our breakfasts before our early pick up on our final day.

This is Thomson - small & friendly hotel which is ideally located for bars & restaraunt and about 300 metres from the new Lido. The hotel only offers B&B which was everything we needed and did not have a bar which suited us. The room (small suit) with small terrace was very comfortable. The attractive garden had small pool with... More

This is our second visit to Madeira and we used the same accommodation as before as we loved this hidden gem. The home from home ambience is so enjoyable, and the staff are lovely and friendly. For me it is where I stay rather than where I go that matters. I have had enough of the big 5 star hotels... More

This hotel has everything going for it in terms of position as mentioned in previous reviews. Lovely garden and as the weather was perfect, we ate breakfast outside each day. Unfortunately, breakfast choices were limited and service poor. Table cloths weren't changed when soiled, they seemed to be the same cloths all week, and tables were slow to be cleared.... More

We had an excellent holiday here. A lovely quiet spot. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The pool has been extended, the gardens are interesting. We had a big room with air conditioning and a fridge but probably paid a bit extra for these facilities. Well worth it.
