The Pestana Casino Park is a 5-star hotel in Funchal, Madeira, surrounded by 15,000 m² of private gardens. Designed by world-renowned master architect Óscar Niemeyer, this hotel is adjacent to the Funchal bay cruise port. Plus, it is only 5 minutes on foot from the city centre and the epicentre of the city's social and cultural life. Its privileged location on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean makes it one of the most famous hotels on the island of Madeira. It features an infinity swimming pool, gardens with peaceful alcoves, a private car park available for a fee, a Spa where you can schedule a massage and/or Magic Spa treatment, and an indoor swimming pool with water jets, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna and gym. You can enjoy four restaurants and bars with views overlooking the tennis court and access to the Casino da Madeira, with games, shows and a nightclub. All rooms have Wi-Fi and a private balcony.

Another visit to the pestana, this year. A great, centrally located hotel,of high quality. Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Excellent facilities, beautiful gardens, very clean, with lovely views. The breakfast is so varied ,I couldn't list its full contents.lt would take up too much room . The quality of the food,is very good indeed. If you're thinking of going to Funchal , for the first time, then check out this hotel. You won't be disappointed.

Amazibng architecture from Oscar Niemeyer and still up to date
We had a wonderful time at this hotel with a great room, a beautiful large pool outside and a nice inside pool with sauna. Really a relaxed stay. The view from the hotel is really beautiful, because it is one a hiltop. You can easely walk to the city (or take a taxi back, because from the city it is uphill).

Architectural masterpiece sitting on the edge of Funchal town centre
Designed late 60’s and built in 1976 this hotel predates the hotel building boom of the past 15 years and benefits from a location close to the centre of Funchal (casual 10 minute stroll) with its own extensive grounds and views over Funchal bay. The rooms are dated but the overall experience makes up for this with large indoor and outdoor pools, spa facility and spectacular triple height dining hall. Richard & Elizabeth

A family gathering at a Pestana hotel
The overall experience at the premises was quite gratifying. The reception desk personnel were quite welcoming and professional, room service provided initially part of the amenities reserved, but soon solved the problem, and lastly both the quantity and the quality were present at the food court.

A wonderful dining room that has absolutely spectacular views, excellent food and service, We stayed last night due to flight issues. Nevertheless, we secured 5 star treatment and a 5 star experience.The rooms are becoming tired but I would book again - also a great location.

We will be staying at The Pestana Casino Park week commencing the 2nd of December. Could I ask.... will the buffet breakfast be being served in the main panoramic restaurant at this time. We came 10th December last year and the main restaurant was not in use due to preparing for Xmas presentation, and we were a little disappointed as the main restaurant is fabulous.
Sorry don't know. We stayed here in August. The restaurant and breakfast was fabulous

I’ve seen a picture of a standard room with a window so you can see into the bathroom. Can someone confirm there is a blind
When we have stayed there is a blind in the bathroom window that you can close for privacy
