Dream holiday
We visited this hotel for 10 days in October 2019. I cannot praise this hotel enough. The gardens are simply beautiful, the food is really really good, the staff are thoughtful, helpful, polite, from the top management to the gardeners, the rooms are very comfortable ( we had a garden room with a terrace). It really was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.

As good as ever
This was our fourth visit to this lovely hotel and we are happy to report that it is as good as ever. Very warm welcome from the reception staff on arrival which was repeated the following morning by the staff at breakfast. Most are the same as in previous years and we also recognised guests from previous years which is recommendation in itself. Difficult to add anything from our previous reviews as standards remain so high.

Great 5 star hotel, food excellent, rooms lovely and comfortable, staff superb, friendly and efficient, beautiful grounds. This was our first visit to this hotel but it won't be our last, we are already in the process of booking to come back here for 2 weeks after xmas.

This is a beautiful, well managed hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful without exception. We did not dine in the Dining Room but breakfast every morning was a feast. The gardens are exceptional and finding a quiet place to sit is easy. A short walk to the smaller swimming pool is all you need to cool down, even in November. It was very good to be back!

A peaceful haven in a beautiful city
We had a lovely room in a beautifully situated hotel Our every need was catered for and the food was excellent. We had flowers in the room, a bowl of fruit and the service was second to none. We will be returning at the end of January.

Are all the premium rooms on the top floor? Not sure if there are 2 or 3 floors, please could someone advise?
Dear Madam, thank you for your enquiry. There are a total of 12 Premium rooms, 7 are on the 1st floor and 5 are on the ground-floor. In the Premium rooms' building, there are only 2 floors including the ground-floor. With kind regards from Madeira, Quinta da Casa Branca.

Is there an iron/ironing board in the room or available to use ?
Dear Madam, thank you for your enquiry. We don't have by default iron/ironing board in the Guests' rooms however we do provide this equipment on request, just ask for an iron/ironing board at the hotel reception and the housekeeping will deliver it into your room. is this a good hotel for viewing the fireworks at Ne Year?
Dear Sir or Madam, thank you for your enquiry. Behind the hotel reception, there is a deck area where you can watch some of the fireworks display but no the all fireworks nor the bay of Funchal is seen from this area. If you intend to see specifically all the fireworks display on New Year and Funchal's bay, we regret but our hotel doesn't have that view. I have just been advised by my tour operator that there will be roadworks around the hotel in late July . Can you guarantee that this will not affect my holiday ?
Dear Madam, thank you for your new enquiry. The Town Hall of Funchal city has publicly-released an announcement that they would start replacing the water distribution network in Rua da Casa Branca which is the street next to the hotel. Due to this procedure, the road traffic in Rua da Casa Branca and in the surrounding streets has been provisionally modified and our Reception Desk is updating our guests accordingly. The working plans will be divided in several phases in order to minimize the inconvenience on the road traffic modifications. With kind regards from Madeira, Quinta da Casa Branca
