Helpfull and friendly staff, perfect location: few minutes walk from Santa Maria Street and the same distance to Se and to the Ocean as well. Everyday cleaning the room and changing the towels. Nice and big enough balcony and terrace on the roof.

Granted, the price is not very high, so don't expect luxury. I think this is a very reasonable option for staying when on a budget. There is wifi in the reception area (comfortable seating and sockets are available). It is very close to the old part of town and the fruit and vegetable market, as well as the cable car... More

It's good place. The peoples working there make you feel like You sleep home. Rooms are in good condition. We sleeps on 4 floor and we have beautiful view on Funchal and Ocean. That place is about 10 min walking from centrum and beach.

Nice budget option, quiet, friendly, clean and tidy. Location is great easy access to Funchal centre, (unlike many big hotels), basic but fresh continental breakfast, Wi-Fi in lounge area only. Nice place and top of list for future.

Budget guest-house in a good location central Funchal. Ten minutes walk to market, restaurants and picturesque old town. Cleaning is good and reception is welcoming and helpful ( family run ) .English spoken. Some rooms have spacious balconies with spectacular views and there is a well-equipped roof-top terrace. Although near the main dual-carriageway it is surprisingly quiet. Limited breakfast choice... More

This was a return visit after a year and the warm welcome was the same. The hotel is very convenient, fairly quiet as it is just out of the main tourist centre, and cheap. It is also popular with low budget Portuguese visitors. The rooms are simple and the best are on the top floor with individual balconies. The roof-top... More

Stayed for 1 night after the fireworks display, rather than drive back in the dark. For the price (28 euros) it was fine. The room was large with 2 single beds, a TV (but didn't try it) and an en suite. Everything was clean and the sheets and towels were of a good quality. There mattress was quite firm, which... More

This is a friendly, small, budget family hotel on 5 floors; the reception, bar and breakfast room is on the ground floor and on the top there is a large roof terrace, overlooking the town and under the Teleferico to Monte. The rooms are simple, but perfectly adequate and with a balcony; they are cleaned more or less daily and... More

I found the hotel's old furniture and style really charming, it's like you stepped into a completely different world. Everything is nice for the price - the room is spacious, there is TV with a lot of channels, a nice bathroom, relatively clean room and you get a balcony you can close or open and enjoy the summer there. Breakfast... More
