We spent 9 pleasant days at Residential Parque. Excellent location just (few minutes walk from the city center in a calm area. A simple breakfast was included in the price. Clean and cosy room. Very helpful and kind staff.

The Residencial Parque is very central and is located in the Santa Maria district of Old Funchal, the Mercado dos Lavradores (Old flower/fruit/fish) market is only a 4 minute walk and the seafront Ave do Mara is a further 4 minutes from there. If you need a supermarket there is one situated right opposite the Mercado in the basement of...

Very good situation. Cable cars passed our balcony. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast - cereal, coffee, nice rolls, brown bread with jam and butter. Adequate. Roof with sun beds. Although a basic hotel it is cheap. Would stay again.

For a 2-star rating this family run hotel does not really disappoint. It's basic, no frills with breakfast served buffet style consisting of bread or rolls, butter, processed cheese triangles and jam, orange juice, tea and coffee without variation. Rooms have TV, no toiletries apart from tiny soap bars, no hairdryer (can be borrowed from reception). Location is on outskirts...

The staff was really friendly. Thats the good news. But the room 31 was moldy, it smelled like chemicals (to fight the mold?) and the sheets were old. When we arrived the elevator got stuck. I got a little bit panic but after some minutes the staff helped us (they put the electricity off and on). Well after this expirience...

Stayed for 10 days, basic rooms but with great views, rooms cleaned daily, basic breakfast, very friendly staff, good location about 8 minutes from the centre, For the money you can't find better value. Only negative is there is no wifi in rooms and is only available in reception. The snack bar is good value too just 90c for a...

Don't expect luxury for this price, but a clear 5 point hotel. The room had a balcony and was clean (somebody had been smoking on the balcony so a bit of cigarette smell and I'm a non smoker, but this doesn't take down the stars). The staff were very friendly and helpful and often chatted with me. They even let...

Helpfull and friendly staff, perfect location: few minutes walk from Santa Maria Street and the same distance to Se and to the Ocean as well. Everyday cleaning the room and changing the towels. Nice and big enough balcony and terrace on the roof.

Granted, the price is not very high, so don't expect luxury. I think this is a very reasonable option for staying when on a budget. There is wifi in the reception area (comfortable seating and sockets are available). It is very close to the old part of town and the fruit and vegetable market, as well as the cable car...

It's good place. The peoples working there make you feel like You sleep home. Rooms are in good condition. We sleeps on 4 floor and we have beautiful view on Funchal and Ocean. That place is about 10 min walking from centrum and beach.
