Great staff that I felt went out of their way to be helpful, great location, great room. Okay, so it's not the Ritz, but hey, you're in "Stubel" and this place is great. Excellent breakfast with a complimentary sunrise as well.
Nice hotel with walking distance to the city centre. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast room (and especially the terrace) has a nice view of the traditional buildings of Setubal. Free parking is not so easy because you have to drive a few minutes to special parking areas. On the street next to the hotel you have to pay.
Very Nice hotel, simple, but cosy. Very Nice view at the breakfast room. Nice breakfast with almost anything. I was in 3rd floor with a view to the avenue and the river. Very good to stay when we Go to fórum Luísa Todi because it’s just across the street. I recomend. This is the view from room 316. Nice
I’ll start by saying that the staff was pleasant. The room was very small but clean. Noise is a problem, the plumbing with the dangerous change in temperatures while showering is an issue. The wi-fi constantly down is no good, the phone in the room did not dial out. The lack of amenities during long stays is an issue, no gym, no pool, no sauna, no parking... all areas to improve on if in fact they want to classify themselves as four ⭐️, presently a long shot at best. On a good note, breakfast staff was nice and the food was ok although repetitive. The view from the breakfast patio made it worth while...
We spent a night here. The room was a good size, and everything was pleasant to look at. The big problem was the lack of plugs, just one and you have to bend or kneel to use it. The breakfast was quiet good, with nearly everything you can eat for breakfast, even some sparkling wine, which remained closed. The view from the breakfast room was fantastic. Good central hotel, with helpful staff
Portugal is an amazing country in so many ways! We have thoroughly enjoyed our visit so far. The people, without exception have been friendly, accommodating, and generous. However, this has not been our experience of the front desk staff at the Luna Esperanca. They are downright rude and unhelpful! Given a choice in the future, I would stay anywhere else. Although centrally located in beautiful Setubal, steer clear of this hotel. You’re hard earned $$ is better spent elsewhere. Pls note: this is the first negative review I have posted on Trip Advisor.
We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and loved it. Free parking is a few hundred meters away. Room is comfortable and very clean! Bathroom as well. The reception area looks outdated but is not representing the rest of the hotel. Breakfast is on the 5th floor with an amazing view over the harbor. Breakfast selection itself is outstanding. Several preparations of eggs as well as fresh fruit and a large variety of bread and cheese/meat. Good coffee machine!
Excellent central location with many cafes and restaurants nearby. Clean rooms and firm but comfortable beds. Pity no bath, and as is usual in Portugal no tea or coffee facilities in rooms, though there was a small fridge. I went next door to McDonalds for coffee in the day. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Reasonable price, but the lift is slow. Breakfast on 5th floor with panoramic view over the River Sado, excellent choice of food.
Having read some of the reviews before we arrived, I was slightly concerned about what we would find. The beds were comfortable, rooms immaculately clean. Breakfast was fine with plenty of choice. Staff where on the whole very helpful, parking not on site was not a problem as there was parking opposite. Lots of lovely restaurants in the little alley ways. I would stay there again.
Location good (despite the McDonalds taking up the ground floor) and rooms are clean and adequate if nothing special. Breakfast though was utterly chaotic - probably not helpful that a large group of pensioners had arrived - the noise was deafening!
