You definitely need to hire a car.The hotel was very nice but having to cross a large cobbled parade ground (especially in the rain) to get to the restaurant was not ideal. Disappointed that there was no outside space for leisure .

Originally the staff quarters for the palace. Built 1794, completely renovated and opened in 1995. Nice building, compact reception and small bar area. Bedrooms, modern spacious, well fitted and clean. Almost completely surrounded by a car park, but in October, not intrusive. Ap

Queluz palace is a wonderful location close to busy centre of Lisbon and sights of Sintra. Queluz Palace gardens and restaurant worth a visit in their own right. Staff were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

How much is the cab fare from the Lisbon Airport to the hotel? How long is the ride?
Hi, We booked our taxi through the hotel. The driver was waiting for us when we landed and picked up our luggage. He had parked in a very convenient location in the indoor parking garage. The fare was 40 Euros I think. Maybe it was 45 Euros, I don't remember. It was not 50 Euros. This was a very nice car. Immaculate in fact. Coming back to the airport from the same hotel we paid 10-12 Euros including a tip. The car and driver were good. He off-loaded us at a very advantageous place for getting into the airport; we are grateful for all of that. This was our very first time to Lisbon airport. Next time it might not cost us so much to get to the hotel from the airport. I don't know that either. Likely you could just get a taxi from the line-up outside the Arrivals; or wait with your belongings at the Departures entrance and hope to get a taxi departing the airport. It would be a gamble of course. Maybe just calling the Reception at the hotel and asking for a suggestion of a cheaper fare. Maybe ask them to arrange a round trip taxi originating in Queluz might keep your cost lower than we encountered. Best of luck with it!

Regarding the Horse Show now is not possible to assit as they are renovating the areas but you still van visit the stables for free. We will be very pleased on assisting you and help with tours or anything tyou might need. Best regards Arminda Teixeira
