6 of us stayed here during a brief golfing holiday in the Óbidos area at the end of Sept. Our accommodation was convenient to the town and to all our golfing destinations. It is a modern hotel with clean comfortable rooms. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always good quality and therefore very enjoyable. The hotel is on a quiet road outside the town, approx. 10 minutes away by taxi. There is an outside swimming pool, which was pleasant in the good weather we experienced; poolside a good location for a beer. The beautiful town of óbidos is very touristy and worth visiting day or night. I look forward to visiting again.
The hotel is pretty fancy, i good nice look fine couches and a descent bar,our room for 4 days no 301 was always good cleaned, the shower 🚿 was more then great but the bed was for me a huge mines, felt like the spiral was always kicking my back bone.never the less i did not complain because all staff was so very great friendly and fantastic that it was not needed, did some foot pedicure and the manager even asked if my feet were brand new afterwards, even gained a free beer so i say, if you want you can always complain but here the staff from high to low deserved all the credits. Greets from Holland 🇳🇱.
The good: Contemporary architecture with an understated decor, located within a comfortable walking distance from Obidos. Relatively cheap for our two night stay. The bad: Establishment was afflicted with an infestation of flies. The coffee was cold and stale at breakfast time, the buffet a stomping ground for the aforementioned flies. The hotel is loosely attributing itself with a spa facility, there is in fact a moderately warm indoor pool and a basic sauna and steam room. The staff while friendly seemed disinterested in customer service (securing a night cap from the main bar was a challenge) and the overall experience was one lacking in atmosphere and charm. Recommendation: Swerve.
We arrived around 10pm, pretty tired from a long trip; the girl at front desk was very polite and helpful. When we entered the room it was freezing (temperature outside was around 14C). When I turned the ac off I figured out... there was at least 5 flies inside... we open the window, tried to kill them and nothing. On the next day the breakfast seem to be good, but they were there again.... At the check out, when I complained to the front desk guy he just said, yes I know, there is a chicken farm nearby... he even apologized himself. The hotel looks good but at least an apologize when you sleep with flies...
Beautiful and modern hotel just outside Óbidos. Perfect to spend a night and have a relaxing evening after exploring the medieval/historical town all day. The two gentlemen and the lady at the reception were extremely friendly and helpful! I made a confusion with my booking, and booked a day after a day I actually wanted. They were 200% understanding and luckily had availability. Instead of a triple room they gave us a twin and a single room and price was the same (with breakfast) and we agreed I wouldnt have to pay for the room I wrongly booked. I was with my mom (who is over 65-yrs-old) and my auntie (who is over 75-yrs-old) and bless them! For one second I thought my mistake would cause them stress, but the guys at reception helped me immediately and professionally. It’s just one of those things that really makes the place special and makes you want to come back and recommend it to others! The hotel has outdoor and indoor/heated pool, a SPA, sauna, a restaurant, a really nice bar/lounge and trust me: the shower in the room is amazing!!!! Really recommend it!! I did manicure (10€) since in the country I live is 30€ (min.), but I didnt use the rest of the facilities. The pool looked nice! Must be fabulous to be here in the summer. One more thing: like I said, is a little bit outside the town, so you will need a car to get close to the town’s entrance. I wouldnt say is walking distance, but since we had a rental, we didnt have any problems with that. …
