The hotel staff is outstanding! Every one of them. Every small request was answered immediately. The rooms are a bit small, but stylish and comfortable. There is an odd lack of USB ports, which makes it a bit difficult to keep devices charged. They will supply cords and adapters on request. The location is ideal. The hotel is in the Parca do Municipio (Municipal Square) in a quite, shaded corner away from the bustle of the city yet within walking distance to many of Lisbon’s attractions. Other attractions are a short taxi or Uber ride away. We highly recommend the hotel. However, we would skip eating in the restaurant. Drinks were very good, but in a city brimming with amazing food, Delfina was bland and over-priced. Service was not at all good AND, in all of Portugal, it was the only restaurant to add a gratuity to the bill.…
This boutique hotel has it all. Perfect location so you can walk throughout Lisbon, Professional staff with 24/7 assistance and the rooms and facilities are wonderful. Staying in this location you are 10 minutes walk to the timeout Market , 5 minutes walk To the main shopping area/restaurants and a very short walk to Alfama Old town region. Many regions of Lisbon are very hilly and difficult with luggage this is the perfect location. I will be staying at this hotel every time I visit Lisboa.
Great attention to detail, very respectful staff and an amazing customer experience. This is for sure a great choice no matter if you travel alone, family, couple or work. It has amazing cleaning, bath products, location, a lot nearby (its like 1 m outside), great food and just remarkable. One of the best hotels I've been.
Great location. Walkable to any neighborhood. Tourism office at main square a block away. Quiet at night. Helpful staff. Great breakfast . Water provided- small thing but important. Room immaculate. An ATM next door. Bike rental around the corner.
This stylish hotel overlooks a beautiful square in the heart of Lisbon. The location was ideal for accessing our various tours and outings, but it was also very quiet making it easy for us to rest after the work out you'll get climbing Lisbon's steep streets. We were provided fresh, glass bottles of still and sparkling water and even had a little kitchenette. The bed linens were comfortable and the room, including the bathroom were so spacious. The rooms themselves were crystal clean and stylish. Breakfast was fantastic (honestly, the bread alone!) The only small issue was that I have a few food intolerances, so it was hard to find food that worked with those restrictions at the restaurant for dinner service. We'll definitely be staying here again.
It was our first time in Lisbon and we chose the AlmaLusa Baixa/Chiado based on its location and reviews and I can highly recommend it. The property is located in a big square close to all the sites and attractions. All the hotel staff were excellent, in my opinion they and the people of Lisbon made the holiday for us, very friendly and outgoing people. The hotel's restaurant is worth a visit even if you are not staying at the hotel, we ended up eating there 4 times during our stay. From this location we managed to walk to most attractions, and in other cases use taxi apps and the ferry which is close by to cross over the river.
Last week, after our Seabourn cruise, we stayed for a few days in this boutique hotel in the center of Lisbon. The location is great and if we had gone without a suitcase it would have been walking distance to the ship. Now it cost $6 to Uber. Located in a quiet corner of a quiet square in the 'flat' part of Lisbon, this hotel is a quiet spot in the middle of everything. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. Our room 17 is located at the front of the hotel and therefore overlooking the square with a small balcony. Don't worry about the street noise because there isn't really any. The rooms at the rear have no view, which is a shame in this beautiful city. The room itself is not very big but that is usually the case in a city in Europe. Yet it is spacious enough as far as we are concerned and very nicely decorated. And we have never seen such a beautifully made bed. The sheets are so very tight and beautifully made that is an art in itself. There is a turn-down service but you don't hear or see the staff. Awesome! The building also houses a nice restaurant Delfina where breakfast is served. The breakfast buffet is fine and tasty. There is also the option of frying eggs. The coffee is delicious and the choice is fine. If I had to make a small comment it would be that our room was above this restaurant. This meant we could hear the music from the restaurant in the morning, not loud but still. And it would have been nice if there were more sockets or USB port connections for the phones and laptops. If you wish, the hotel will also provide you with a telephone with free minutes and internet. Extra service. We highly recommend this hotel to cruise lovers. Close to the port and within walking distance of all the beautiful spots of this great city. Or.... rent a tuk-tuk. Awesome.…
We visited AlmaLusa Baixa/Chiado for the second time in 2022, after a wonderful stay back in 2016! Although the price was a bit more expensive than 5 years ago we were certain that it would be well worth the price and indeed it was!! We requested a room with a view and not only did we get what we asked for, but we were given an upgrade to a junior suite with little gifts waiting for us after our long days of sightseeing around town, which gave a unique touch to our stay. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, it even had wine glasses and plates for a cosy dinner in the room, overlooking the beautiful square. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, shower very powerful, beauty products great! What was an absolute amazing bonus to our stay at AlmaLusa was the free mobile device with free internet and calls to use around town, which really helped with suggested itineraries, finding sights/restaurants on google maps and even having preinstalled apps to use for restaurant reservations. We have to praise each and everyone of the employees od AlmaLusa for their enthusiasm, professionalism and mere kindness and care with which they greeted us every time we came to them for advice, requests or simply tales of our days around town. A sincere and heartfelt thank you for an amazing experience in Lisbon, which would not have been the same without AlmaLusa! We are already looking forward to visiting again! …
Can't say enough good things about this lovely boutique hotel. From the moment you arrive, the staff goes out of their ways to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Great central location near the river, trams, and located right on a gorgeous square. The room is European-small, but has everything you would ever need and ours was quiet and extremely clean. (Entire hotel was spotless.) Breakfast in Delfinas, the hotel restaurant space, was not only delicious we loved the music (classic jazz that eased us into our days). Had dinner there was well and it was top-notch. I can't praise the staff highly enough from front desk, to wait staff, to housekeeping this was a delight from start to finish. There's not a single thing I'd say they need to do better.
This hotel was absolutely perfect for me and my fiancé stay in Lisbon. We wanted something that felt slightly more luxurious but not marble floors and cold antique furniture. This hotel was the perfect blend of luxury and homey-ness. The rooms were beautifully decorated and had everything that you need. Not to mention the restaurant was impeccable! Some of the best croissants of my life. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful with everything that we needed when it came to our visit in Portugal, and the location was so central to everything that we wanted to do while we were here. I wish I could give more than five stars!
