Staff was very nice and even went above and beyond to make sure we had one of our lost bags returned from the airport to us. The view was out of this world and I would debate one of the best views in all of Lisbon. Breakfast was also 10/10
I am an honest reviewer and well travelled however I can’t see how this hotel gets 5 stars. It’s location is terrible , up the steepest hills in Lisbon . Rooms are good , breakfast is 2 star at best and it has no bar for a 4 star hotel . It’s description on Booking.com is wrong . It should read , good rooms , not very accessible , average breakfast . I don’t know who is writing these other reviews however other guests that met had the same opinion as me. I wouldn’t/couldn’t recommend it to anyone !
Stayed here for a week in this wonderful hotel. Great location, ideal if you enjoy walking. Very clean and our room was extremely comfortable. Not one negative comment to say about staff, so friendly and very helpful. Will definitely recommend to friends.
Stayed here for a long weekend away at the beginning of March 20. Wonderful clean hotel rooms, and recommend to book one with a balcony for fantastic views over the city. The hotel sits just below the castle walls in a very quiet road and is a great base to explore the old town from with lots of excellent restaurants and shops nearby. The staff are extremely courteous and happily willing to offer advice on what to visit, clearly very proud of their city and what it offers. Small dining area of around 8 tables for breakfast which offers both a hot and cold buffet. Well stocked with everything you need. Thoroughly recommended.
Close to castle with views over Lisbon. High up so lots of steps to get up there. Some restaurants close by if not wanting to go into the centre. Clean, quiet and good size room. Good breakfast. Reasonable price.
decided to opt for this one, as for price and location at time of booking, to be honest, and we was not disappointed, location to many of the sites in Lisbon are by foot, and within 10-20 min walk. the hotel does sit right at the top , near the castle, so easy going down, but a little hard on the feet at the end of the day. rooms were clean and all amenities as expected as per booking. friendly and helpful staff, and willing to advise, if you needed to plan your day. within a minute walk out of the hotel, you will find plenty of nice restaurants, mini supermarket if needed. if you have Uber on your phone, then i recommend you use it for airport transfers, taxi drivers are a little pricey.
Friendly staff who are happy to fulfill room-requests. Good spacious rooms with great bathrooms, although the rooms' terraces are a little run-down. Totally quiet at night because of the position. Lacking a restaurant, but does do club sandwiches, wine etc at reasonable prices. Computer and printer available to guests in comfortable sitting-area. Free and good wifi in rooms, satellite tv.
Opted for this for a late booking short break. Seemed we were the only guests on the Monday we arrived. Good sized room was bright and clean, with windows looking north across the rooftops. Breakfast is wide ranging, depending on taste. Reception staff were very helpful to explain travel and food options. Arriving late we went to nearby restaurant which served 'family' food and had local Fado performance - a great welcome to Lisbon.
This is a very nice hotel with spacious rooms, many of which have large terraces overlooking an incredible view of Lisbon. Breakfast is good. The bar seems un-used to hosting guests (surprisingly minimal wine offerings for example) but the staff were very helpful and keen to oblige.
Lovely hotel, good location, really friendly staff. Lisbon is very, hilly and this hotel is just in front of the castle which is quite high up. Therefore you need good mobility and comfy shoes. Would recommend the open top bus and tuk tuks for getting around. Great value.
