Lovely hotel, well positioned so can walk to many places but also trams start right outside and Metro 1 min away. Loads of restaurants a few mins walk away, friendly staff, modern rooms and free mini bar restocked each day

We spent 3 nights at the hotel. I should've listened to other reviews, the rooms are indeed quite dark and very odd shaped. Ours had a wooden platform surround the bed all the way to the wall, which meant trying walk around was impossible. The bed itself was very comfortable but if like me you need a hard pillow you'll...

Staff were very friendly and ensured you were taken care of at all times, gave us a map and pointed us in the right direction. Room had a huge bed and was nice and clean, room has a free mini...

Amazing location, extremely helpful and friendly staff, very good breakfast. 4 stars because rooms not very well around insulated and can be a little bit noisy in the morning. Otherwise, great experience..

Hotel with a nice price-quality ratio, located in the heart of Lisboa, so with lots of local hotspots in the neighbourhood. Built with a good theme: the "fig". Also a pretty theme and very consequently and nicely caried through lots of aspects in the interior of the hotel and also in the rooms. It isn't outdated yet, but that fase...

We were very fortunate to be upgraded to a larger room on our late arrival into Lisbon. The room was lovely and spacious with ahuge comfortable bed. We ate downstairs, again very late, but at no time were we made to feel that this was any inconvenience to them . The meal was fantastic and I highly recommend their restaurant.

Lovely Hotel, in a great location. Easy access to the Metro, Taxis, Trams and even Tuk tuks. Plenty of choices of restaurants within easy walking distance. Very friendly and helpful staff, who answered all of our questions and were very polite. Very comfortable beds, air con, free coffee and water. Sheets changed daily and rooms cleaned.

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
