This hotel located on the edge of one of the nicest plaza's in Lisbon (Close to all the hustles & Bustles). Rooms on the 4th floor have the city/Semi River view. The staffs were kind and friendly. Breakfast is recommended, but the I wasn't to keen on their lunch and dinner dishes.

This hotel was spectacular after rugged backpacking and shared hostel accommodations. The room offered many windows and doors leading to the amazing terrace. I also liked that the bed was king size with multiple pillows. Posh

My friend and I have just come back from a 4 night stay at this hotel. Our holiday was absolutely brilliant. The hotel is a lovely walk away from the station where you can take the train to any number of gorgeous beaches. For me the hotel was lacking - maybe this sounds trivial but no ability to make a...

My partner and I found this hotel on TripAdvisor and thought we'd give it a try. So glad we did. Excellent location for exploring Lisbon. We mainly roamed on foot but was very close the metro and the train for our treks to other parts of the city/beach. Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful with directions, suggesting and information. All staff...

Perfect hotel, prefect location, perfect staff!!! Absolutely no issues/complaints, on the contrary. From the very first contact and greetings by the front desk staff, room, location, service, till final goodbye... We would definitely stay again at that hotel. More than value for money!

We stayed here for four nights on a last-minute booking in August 2016. The hotel is in a great location--Largo do Carmo, a quiet square--minutes walking from the Baixa Chiada metro stop or the Rossio train station. Rooms are pleasant, with high ceilings and sufficient space to have two suitcases fully open. The beds are cozy and clean. Rooms are...

About a 8-10 minute walk from the metro at Baixa-Chiado or Rossio. It is uphill but not too bad. The location is fantastic as you can walk downhill to the center of town in just a few minutes. The staff was professional and helpful. The rooms were beautiful. Big showers and modern bathrooms. Very comfortable beds in decent size rooms...

We stayed at the Lisboa Carmo Hotel on our last two nights of two weeks in Portugal, and it was an excellent choice. We had yet to explore Lisbon, and the hotel is located within walking distance of the city. We were able to walk to the dock where the tall ship extravaganza was taking place as well as other...

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
