The location is perfect, near everything that you wanna do in Lisboa, special if you don't have so much time in the city. The room is not that new, but the bed is good and the place is clean. Plus, this hotel is a gorgeous building. A lot of people take picture of it.

The VIP Executive Eden Aparthotel is in a great location in the center of town with a metro station right outside the door and a host of terrific restaurants within walking distance (including a whole street of restaurants one street away). We took the Metro back to the airport after our trip – 45 minutes (or 15 minutes by taxi)....

VIP Eden was situated in an excellent location right downtown and close to the many sights and basically next door to Rossio Station. From this station, you can travel to Sintra and other sights along that route. The other locations are just a walk away and many within a short distance. On arrival, our check in was quick and pleasant....

After reading the reviews here I was prepared to be underwhelmed; but this hotel was really good. Our room on the 7th floor had clearly been renovated in the last couple of years. Beds were excellent View behind the Faux facade was indirectly on to the street. Modern windows are very sound deadening but do open, tilting out at the...

We stayed three nights and were very pleased with its centrality to airport bus(Aero Bus no 1), the metro station at Restauradores and the train station at Rossio. Not forgetting the yellow buses, the tuk yuk taxis and the tram. The Aero bus from the airport stops right in front of the hotel for 3.5 euros one way or 2...

Very interesting building, old theatre. Bed very comfortable, to be honest room was in need of an update. found it rather strange to have a kitchenette but no washing up liquid or tea towels. The terrace however was absolutely fabulous, a rather nice white wine at a very reasonable 9 euros, a view to die for. spent an hour here...

After watching Rick Stein we booked a trip to Lisbon. Two families travelling with teenage boys staying in 2 apartments. Plenty of room, clean, good wifi (essential for teenagers) - just a little dated. The rooftop bar was great - wonderful views across the city. Too cold for the pool but I bet that's fab in summer. The apartments are...

We paid for the accommodation with the child in this hotel. In order to buy a convenient plane tickets, we were sent our questions to this hotel. It was important for us to know the conditions of late check-out, early check-in in the room and other issues. For 3 days we sent more than 6 emails to them different mailboxes,...

We were very happy staying at this hotel as it was central, clean and the views from the terrace were amazing. All rooms have a small kitchen with a microwave/grill, kettle, toaster & dishwasher. I would say that you are better to get a room on a higher level as the lower level does not have a view and is...

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
