The location is perfect. The aerobus stop by the hotel, and the shared shuttlebus from airport costs about 12 euros. The hotel itself is about outdated, and would need some renovations, but for our needs it was perfect. The reception staff were friendly, and helped us every time we asked something. The room (studio) was ok, beds were confortable. The...

This apartment hotel is in an ideal location for city breakers who want a couple of days in Lisbon's historic heart. It is ideal for disabled also as the access is good and there is flat access to pavement areas which continues on several street precinct areas with many shops, restaurant bars, extending right to the river mouth without a...

The rooms of this aparthotel are a little tired but they appear to be refurbishing the building. We were with a group of twelve, but myself and the person I shared with only used the kitchen for making tea. The small kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, kettle, microwave, pans, crockery and cutlery, no tea towel(s) was/were provided....

We stayed twice Jan 27-30, March 31-April 5. The 1st time room 608 which was OK: large room, kitchen and bathroom OK though it showed signs of aging. 2nd time in room 237- this room should be put out of its misery: tiny noisy room for 2 people: bathroom dirty tiles grout, leaking toilet NEEDS NEW BOLTS, cracked and chipped...

It is not 4 stars, don't spend your money and time in this hotel. Service is poor and rooms are not clean. They are faraway from standard class. Hotel resection and also reservation system is poor. They are not same as other my old good experiences in Lisbon

The hotel was very nice. It was very clean and the room was fully equipped with the basic things that we needed. Staff was very nice and helpful but it was weird that some of them didn't speak English very well and couldn't help us. The main reason why we recommend this hotel is because of it's location - at...

The aparthotel’s location is perfect and you can walk everywhere to see the main sights (apart from Belem but you can get tram 15 from Praca da Figueira, which is 5 minutes walk away). The metro is right outside the hotel, which is very handy to get to the airport too and it only takes 45-50 minutes to the main...

We stayed at the hotel with our 3 yr old boy. The hotel needs a refurbishment and staff could be warmer. However the hotel is located bang opposite the metro station and is very close to the old city. Trams to Belem and other important routes are easily accessible too. Overall average hotel but in a fantastic location!

3 days for me and my wife cost 150 euro. The top floor is open, has tables, nice view, has a pool. Our room had a kitchenette with dishwasher, dishes, and range to cook on with utensils. Large room, strong wifi, big bathroom with a strong shower with good heat. Ana at reception was very helpful in answering questions and...

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
