Hard to say enough good things about our stay at Palacio Ramalhete. We selected it partly due to prior guest comments about being family-friendly and about the attentive, friendly service. We were travelling with a 2-yr old and a 5-yr old, so these were important issues. The staff is both very friendly and professional - not an easy pairing. Always...

Dear Guest We are delighted to know that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us at the Palacio Ramalhete. It is true that we receive a lot of couples, but nonetheless we always look forward to welcome families. This being said most of our rooms may accommodate extra beds. Children usually enjoy our swimming pool, and don’t forget...

As one of the other reviewers states you could miss the unassuming entrance to this exquisite boutique hotel. Once inside the green doors, the visual feast that awaits you is really quite stunning. Architecturally it is utterly charming & the sheer peace & quiet is heavenly. We stayed for three nights with our eleven year old daughter, during the latter...

Dear Guest, Your comment was a great pleasure to read, very descriptive and lovely. You are spot-on when you say that the entrance doesn’t do justice to what the garden has to offer. Anyone passing by would be oblivious to all the secrets inside. We are glad your daughter enjoyed the pool after your long days in Lisbon. We definitely...

After heading from Porto to Lisboa we stayed in Palacio Ramalhete for 3 nights. We were warmly welcome by the nice staff and served with a welcome drink. After a small tour through the beautiful house of the 18th century we felt already like home. The place is really special, not comparable to anonymus Hotels, it feels kind of being...

This really is a lovely little boutique hotel. It really felt like an authentic Portuguese experience. The hotel itself is a gorgeous old townhouse, with the original tiling and wood panelling still visible throughout. There aren't many rooms, and each one is unique and has its own character. The first couple of nights we were in a standard room, which...

Keep your eyes peeled if you arrive by car, the entrance to this wonderful hotel is unassuming, to say the least. But once you climb the stairs from the azuleijo walled entrance, there is a small cozy world of friendly people, stylish rooms and quiet elegance awaiting you. Nice breakfast, small pool in the shady upper courtyard, just right before...

Dear guest, We are glad to receive your commentary. It is true that from the outside, it doesn’t give it justice to what you will find inside the Palacio Ramalhete. The patios in the gardens welcome guests in the garden for a nice cosy afternoon drink, by the pool or in the 2nd patio. Of course, as you said in...

This hotel is not like any other hotel, its more like staying as a long forgotten friend in a large house. The staff is very friendly and helpful in any possible way, nothing was a problem and they had very good recommendations and made our stay very pleasant. A delightful and sympathetically restored boutique hotel housed in an 18th-century palace in an up and coming area residential area of Lisbon.
