Stayed during the Christmas/new year period and had a great time. The hotel is located a bit further from the Commercial square but actually in a really nice and trendy area and only couple steps away from the main shopping street. Getting to/from the hotel from the most central/touristy part of Lisbon only takes 30 mins walk, 10 mins uber/bolt or 15 minutes metro ride which was really convenient. The hotel felt huge but service was efficient and we never had to wait long for anything even during the busy Christmas/new year time. Room was big and cozy. We had a high floor room with view of the airport and river which was nice. Room and bathroom were clean and felt comfortable. A fun fact: The room and hallway look so similar to the Sheraton in Porto. For Marriott elite members, the club lounge was closed and the hotel instead offered snacks and drinks at the hotel bar. The food and drinks options were ok/good but the ambience and convenience was definitely not as nice as having a separate lounge. Breakfast in the restaurant was nice with many options and great coffee and fresh orange juice. However the options did not change throughout the stay. The spa area was a bit small but still quite nice and had all the essentials: big sauna, steam room, jetted pool, heated outdoor pool that stayed open in the winter, and nice relaxing area.…
Beautiful modern hotel with English speaking helpful staff. Great location we can walk to shops, restaurants & attractions. Ten minute taxi ride from the airport. Breakfast buffet served daily on the lobby. The meticulous & beautiful display of breads, cereals, fruits, Cheeses, meats, fish, omelette station, fresh juices, hot entrées, pastries and very fancy cappuccino machines took breakfast to the next level. Unlimited drinks just give our room number & an evening happy hour daily from 5 to 7. I'm just thrilled we were able to check in at 7 o'clock in the morning. The spa was very impressive & zen like. The steam room, sauna, fitness rooms, pool, jacuzzi, Spa Café and treatment rooms are available. Our room was very well equipped with an nespresso machine, electric tea kettle, robes, safe, refrigerator, robes, blackout shades, many plugs & charging outlets, lite magnifying mirror... The a/c cooled quickly & the bed was very comfortable.…
Large and clean room with a nice view. Comfortable bed and nice pillows. Delicate bathroom with tub. Good selection for breakfast possible to order omelette and fried eggs. Live music in the bar in the evening. Panorama meeting room with the amazing view over Lisbon. Excellent meeting food - good selection - tasty and delicate - big dessert table. Highly recommended. Stayed in the 12th floor.
We have stayed at this hotel many times during the last decade. We have commented the hotel many times during the years. The staff has been changed many times . It is nice to talk to “old” ones sometimes. The view from the top floor rooms is very nice, the interior style of the room has been kept but sorry to say with a few improvements. The worst issue which I have taken up here in this forum and also with responsible persons, is the food and its presentation especially at breakfast buffet. It should really be looked at by the responsible persons. Breakfast buffet: The big verity of cold cuts and cheese is horribly presented. It is just thrown on the plates without any care. The cheese is seldom in order and the way is is presented is really disgusting. The same goes for the cold cuts. Just so messy. The bacon is very fat and soggy. Not one piece can be found crispy. You can get the bacon crispy but then you have to especially ask for it. The boiled eggs yolk is green, mostly dark green. Does not give you an appetite at all and it looks uneatable. This can easily be solved. There are many other things that should be improved. The variety is good but the presentation is much below standard for a 4/5 star hotel. It would not take much effort to improve by having an updated and active management. I have tried so many times and have now given up. In comparison with other hotels in Lisbon and in e.g. Asia. Sheraton is not on top of any lists. The Japanese have a slogan that should be the base and it is: it should look good, smell good and taste good. The Sheraton in Lisbon is far away. However it would not take much effort to improve but then you management must drive the improvement and lead. Important is also to follow up and after that follow up again…. If not there can not be any change and improvement.…
I stayed in this hotel for almost a week, I took a "club" room - on the upper floors with access to the lounge. Excellent hotel, the room was relatively large, very comfortable and there is everything you need in the room, the service and the service staff are simply excellent, always with a smile and always trying to help. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and there are bathrobes, which you can then go to the spa with. The spa is nice, although I have seen better ones, but it was definitely satisfactory. There is a sauna, a fairly large jacuzzi pool (heated) and outside there is another pool and you can also order all kinds of massages. The breakfast is good - relative to Europe (I'm from Israel and in Israel the standards for breakfast are significantly higher than in Europe), and again excellent service there as well. But in my opinion the highlight is the lounge - I've been to many of these in many hotels all over the world, it's one of the best, from 5:00 p.m. they serve a type of light meal (every evening a different meal), and all types of alcohol or coffee or soft drinks - and from 5:30 p.m. There is a singer who sings very beautifully and the atmosphere is very nice - a different singer every night (one of the nicest people you will find there in the lounge is Mario Jesus - just gives great service and will make sure you have everything). The hotel has 2 main disadvantages: a. It is a little far from the center (but you can take a taxi or Uber and get anywhere easily) b. It is a little old - but that does not diminish the quality. I will definitely go back there again.…
Concierge Armando Lopes and bar tender Carina were AMAZING! Arrived from Spain, Portuguese hospitality is above and beyond! We have a short time here and have been well taken care of and feel great about the rest of our time here. Obrigada!
Had a 7 day stay (5 days then returned after 5 days for a 2 night stay). Can't say enough for the helpful staff, Joana (day front desk), Duarte (night manager), Firmino (very helpful and knowledgeable concierge), Renata (wait staff) and all the staffers from the front door inwards. Our stay after the years of lockdown made the welcome to the world experience a fantastic trip. Thank you Sheraton Lisboa!
The physical hotel is a bit dated/tired in appearance but the hotel personnel made this stay exceptional. Everyone went out of their way to take care of all of our needs/questions, and someone always followed up to make sure whatever service was provided was executed correctly. We are Marriott ambassador level and our room was upgraded. We also also received complimentary buffet breakfast each morning which had a great selection, and everything was always fresh. The restaurant service was excellent; Carlotta took excellent care of us each morning. A special shout out to Nuno the Barrista whose work and work ethic was impressive; he was constantly balancing making many drinks at once and he always greeted everyone with a big hello as you passed his station in the lobby. 2 Cons: We had a few house keeping glitches; that area can use some work. Second, there is no longer a panorama restaurant (as advertised) or M club lounge for Marriott elite members.…
Sheraton and five stars is a combination that raises expectations. This time they were not close to be met. Sheraton in Lisbon is overdue for a renovation in so many ways. The double room was more suited for a single stay. The open design with glass was cool 10 years ago but very unsuitable with light, acoustics and privacy if you are two in the room. The bathrobe (yes, just one) seems to been in the hotel since start together with the worn out towels. The same old fabrics also in the spa. Five stars should mean an abundance of well trained staff. Here staff was both short and many unqualified. Checking in and checking out took ages when the receptionists struggled with the system. Staff that were supposed to attend to customer could be seen hanging over their phones, which tells that management and training is inadequate. Christmas decorations had been put up without any attention to details, probably straight from basement storage and and no care about if lights or movements actually worked. A sad a cheap impression as a result. The only reason the review score isn’t lower is the kitchen who saved the day for Sheraton and delivered both wonderful breakfast and dinner.…
We spent two nights at the Sheraton before embarking on a cruise and had an outstanding experience. This is an American style hotel well located near restaurants and places of interest. Our room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable and offered a nice view of the city. The hotel had all the amenities we could have asked for and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had not made plans for touring in Lisbon and relied on the concierge, Ana Sofia, for suggestions. She could not possibly have been more friendly and helpful. She was eager to share ideas with us and spent a lot of time helping with with our arrangements. She really made our stay memorable. Just plain outstanding service. She was wonderful! The only thing not as expected was that, despite being listed on Trip Advisor as having airport transportation, that service has been discontinued. As it turned out, though, that wasn't a problem as the hotel is not far from the airport and it was easy to get a taxi. Nevertheless the listing should be updated. I certainly would not hesitate to recommend the Sheraton and will stay there again if I'm ever back in Lisbon.…
