Comfort, quality and a sense of really being in Portugal. Very reasonable price. The staff, especially Magda and Hugo made everything perfect. They seem to love their job. Breakfast on the patio was a great start to each day.

The rooms are pleasant, the staff is very helpful, the neighborhood is interesting, and breakfast or a beer in the patio is lovely. And if you stay here, you should have dinner at nearby sister property Monte Belvedere. The views and tasting menu were superb.

We spent very little time in this perfect place, but will definitely try to return and will recommend it to all our friends! Perfect little place with warm, home-like ambience, great hosts, smartly hidden from the noise of a big town, but perfectly located. Thank you!!!!

Stayed here for 3 nights and how I wished that was more like 30 ! We took the tastefully designed top floor apartment (no elevators, but who cares) with a million dollar view across the terrace of Lisboa. The window opens to a salty breeze will put you to sleep like a baby. With the excellent cake they bake, breakfast...

We stayed 4 nights in this very charming guesthouse. We had the top apartment which had incredible views across the city! There is no elevator but it's only the 4th floor so nothing too strenuous! The room was perfect, it had all amenities for self catering, the bed was very comfortable and the place was clean and all in good...

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful hotel! Staff is very friendly, chatty, speaks very well several languages and help you find your way in the city. The breakfast is outstanding: plenty of fresh food, best french toasts ever, juicy oranges, Portuguese cakes, crepes,...! Rooms are big, clean & nice! The room we were in has a bathtub which was...

This B&B is located in Santa Catarina, a nice, quiet and authentic part of Lisbon. Mind though that this neighborhood, which is built on one of the hills of the old city, is rather difficult to reach if you are coming by car, because of the many small streets running up and down. But if it's authenticity you want, this...

Just stayed 1 night on trip advisor reviewer recommendations and was not disappointed. Difficult to find without a good map or your phones GPS but once you get there... Wow rooms are gorgeous and pre air conditioned for you. On a 40 degree day that was bliss. Reception and patio area was shaded and very cool. So peaceful. Breakfast was...

Well, the taxi driver said a quarter before that he is not going to drive further. Middle of night that was a bit frightening. The reason was just a badly parked car. There was no place to pass it. But the rest was punctually from the other world! Just as I mentioned, another world inside authentic Bairro Alto. Charming village...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Shiadu Boutique Guesthouses started in 2007 and is a trademark for "refined" guesthouses, combining the provision of comfort and elegance with a customer service completely dedicated to each of its customers. In Spring 2011, Casa do Patio by Shiadu, the third Shiadu guesthouse, welcomed its first guests. "Wow!" Is the first thing you'll say when you come into the patio for the very first time! This is a wonder that you will not easily find because it is hidden and protected right in the heart of the Santa Catarina neighbourhood, 5 minutes walking distance from Chiado, Bairro Alto and the No. 28 Tram to Alfama. It is on this patio, called Patio das Parreiras, that you can every morning enjoy our delicious home-made breakfast, get all the tips and advice on how to uncover Lisbon and relax at the end of the day by savouring some typical Portuguese snacks... For your stay you have the choice of several options that range from a double suite to a family room or even an apartment with kitchen (lodging 2 to 4 people) with direct access to the patio or via one of the nearby buildings located next to the patio. You may be lost for choice when looking at the various options but with regards to customer service at Casa do Patio, there is only one possible option: a total commitment which will offer you a most memorable stay in Lisbon! Follow your instinct and we will be waiting.... ... more   less
