I stayed 2 nights with my partner and friend in a triple room. Was compact but perfect for our needs. Room was very funky as was the entire building. Room was cleaned every day and towels changed. A/C in the room was great. Very quiet room despite being close to main street. Staff in the apartments were so friendly and...

My wife and I travel widely and regularly, putting our own package together. However, this was our first visit to Portugal. So, after the usual research, we honed in on these apartments to begin and end our time on the coast at Cascais. The Baixa location is superb. Local restaurants up the street from the entrance are authentic and tremendous...

You can almost not find a better place to stay in Lisbon, it's really centrally located. The design is special, more for young people, but ok. The rooms, as they have a small kitchen, very practical. It's a little bit difficult to find it, there is no sign on the outside of the place. And there is no breakfast in...

This hotel has very unique and cool rooms and they are huge with a kitchen and good shower. The location is great right in the heart of the city. The rooms also have cool colored lights all over and small balconies to watch people go by below. It is very quiet if you close the windows so no worries that...

Very nice stay at this uniquely designed and fashionably decorated hotel. Rooms were clean, well-outfitted, and hip. It's central location is ideal for pretty much anything you wanna do in or around Lisbon. If you find yourself in Lisbon, chick out Short Stay Bazia!

12 of us stayed in 3 apartments; they were very spacious, beautifully decorated & exceptionally clean, with all the facilities you need for a weekend away. The location couldn't be better, no need for calling taxis to travel anywhere. The staff very friendly & helped in very way possible. Would highly recommend visiting Lisbon - beautiful city & staying at...

Huge appartment in the center of the town! Couldn't be better. Everything was exceptional. The decoration of the room is unique. Even if dont like the style is very accurate and special. We 'll be back certainly.

I liked that place. Very kind staff. We asked to change an appartment. It was done in few minutes. Everithing you need while tripping is there - kitchen, wifi, comfortable bed. Metro station is so near. All the tourist routes (tourbusses) are near. I would like to recomend this place to everybody.

The Lisbon Short Stay Apartments Baixa were some of the quirkiest we have even stayed at (and we have traveled extensively in Europe!). That being said, we really loved the vibe of the place - the bright lights, the murals on the doors and walls, and the general look and feel of the place. The apartments are centrally located, and...

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
