A art hotel. Very cool Interior. Young nice people, a cafe with every night music. Rooms are equipped with cooking oven, microwave, and cooking plate. The hotel is in the center of Lisbon. I have no negative points. The quantity it is VERY GOOD!! Recommended to young hip people!!

The hotel is hidden on one of the few quiet streets just off Rossio Square, the nerve centre of Lisbon life. Only yards away from some of the busiest tourist hotspots the narrow street has excellent restaurants frequented by locals and missed by many tourists wandering down the busy commercial streets adjacent to it. The hotel is very modern in...

We booked this hotel based on TripAdvisor and Hotel.com reviews and were not disappointed. We arrived in the evening after a short (less than 5 minutes) walk from the metro station and were greeted by a friendly and helpful registration staff. Our room was on the third floor. The decor of the building and the rooms is art-centric, with each...

This is one of those "design hotels" with very garish interior decoration, colored jewel lights, and murals on the walls. For all that, the views were spectacular, the rooftop terrace amazing, and the bed comfortable. There were so, so, so many pillows. My only complaint was the lights on the side of the beds were too low and dim. I...

We stayed for two amazing nights in this hotel. The staff is fabulous and the location is perfect. This hotel feels like you are staying in an art museum. It is fun and funky. The breakfast is worth it too! We walked to everywhere in Lisbon and loved coming back to see what was happening in our hotel. We even...

I could not believe what a great location this studio apartment was in, right in the middle of everything. The staff were extremely helpful with everything from directions to suggestions. We made use of the kitchenette for breakfast and it was all clean and tea/coffee refilled for late afternoon. The terrace on the roof had an amazing view.

My husband and I stayed here with our 3 kids and it was wonderful. We got the 3 bedroom penthouse. The kids loved the rooms. It was very spacious and nicely decorated. Very artsy! I loved that there was a bonus toilet outside the room by the door. The rooftop was nice and offered very lovely views! Breakfast was pretty...

What a find. One of the best and trendiest places we've stayed in. From check in ( custard tarts and a drink in reception on arrival) to check out the service was superb. The apartment was fabulous, from the style and decor to the comfortable beds and pillows. Plus it's quiet. If you like quirky stylish decor then this is...

Very artistic building, really cool rooms. The bar has a good atmosphere in the evening with live music. Tasty breakfast which goes on until a good time (10:30) which was helpful with a teenager! Recommended!

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
