Very clean, staff amazingly friendly and helpful. Location fabulous. Close to Rossie Station, metro and main boulevard. Definitely an uphill walk and then stairs. Great lounge, kitchen, terrace and bar. We had just hiked the Portuguese Camino and realized this was a destination and longer stay hostel. It is 24 hour hostel so always movement and a degree of noise,...

Nice hostels, good service & perfect location; although the breakfast is not much. Located next to a major square with easy acces to the metro. On the other side you are 5 minutes away from the Lisboa view point and the cosy streets of Bairro Alto.

We only stayed one night in the Equity Point Hostel in Lisboa but it was very good - especially the staff was so helpful and friendly! And - there was good bread and apples as well as coffee and tea available all day long :)

The staff is very nice and attention. The all hostel is clean and in very good conditions, the bed is comfortable and smell clean :) There is a really good kitchen, and the hostel give the breakfast. Have a good space outside. The best hostel for that price and localization, for sure!

Went to Lisbon apart of a huge group as a residential unfortunately I never stayed in a hostel before but was stuck in a room with other students. It had 10 beds in one room making it overcrowding and hard to move around quietly as there would be one person asleep and then we were only allowed to have one...

For my first ever hostel stay, I have to say, I was quite suprised by this place. It was fine for us and was just what we needed! No luxury and far from it but all the essentials provided. I stayed with a large group (25 people?) and we were all allocated shared rooms (4-6 per dorm single sex rooms)....

Really nice open plan living area that changes with the people as the day flows into night. Off the main room is a second movie room. Kitchen area and outside terraces. Ricardo and Dario were the guys running the show while I stayed. Cool guys knowledgeable on the city and patient with their time.

Great location! In the middle of everything while still being in a quiet street. Staff was very chill, very accomodating. Breakfast was buffet style - toast, rolls, spreads, coffee, tea, cereal and fruit. Nothing fancy but fills you up. Rolls, butter and coffee/tea available all day. Rooms/bathrooms were nice and clean - got a room with fantastic city views! Never...

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.

“Room security is good, bathroom is clean and spacious (ladies). Fruits, coffee and tea were provided foc daily. Breakfast offered was cereals, fruits, bread, milk, coffee, tea, cocoa etc. Hair dryer is available without charging a deposit. Be physically and mentally prepared (especially for those carrying large and heavy luggage) as you will need to walk up a steep slope getting to the hostel if you are coming from the direction of Palacio Froz / Hard Rock Cafe Lisbon.”
