This was out first trip to Lisbon and we loved it! An amazing city for a long weekend (with plenty of options to stay longer and explore further afield). The Ribeira Tejo was perfect for our stay. It's very inconspicuous from the outside, but really smart and well presented on the inside. We were greeted by Sergio who gave us...

Beautiful setting. Lisbon is so so so wonderful! This guesthouse--a tiny hotel!--is lovely, run by very friendly people, in a cute part of Lisbon just near the river. The breakfast was incredible: everything you could imagine, including the local nata pasteries which you must eat at every option [Go to Pasteis do Belem!]. I would love to go back. Building...

The Ribeira Tejo is a quaint guesthouse located about 10 minutes walk west of Praca do Comercio. It is facing the Time Out Market and conveniently close to main stops for subway, tram and buses. The staff were warm and helpful. We arrived at the guesthouse after an overnight flight, and were kindly offered our room right away. The room...

Ribeira accommodations are wonderful and the staff couldn't be nicer. Great knowledge of the area and fantastic recommendations for sight seeing and restaurants. Daily breakfast is included, food quality and service were fantastic. Great location, can't wait to return.

The location is ideal: opposite the heavenly TimeOut Market, and on top of a public transport hub which means that trams, the metro, trains and ferryboats are all close by. Walking distance to the city center, and very close to one of the cable trams up to the Bairro Alto. The hotel itself is cosy, decorated in a BoHo chic...

We travelled to Lisbon on Jan 11th until the 13th, chose this guest house as it was close to public transport and the fantastic Timeout market.the trams for Belem and the city are so close, less then a 2 min walk. Easy walk into the city as well. We were warmly welcomed by our host Sergio, who ran through the...

Like a lot of buildings in the old part of Lisbon the hotel is not much to look at from outside but inside is very comfortable. Very clean, good breakfast and great location to walk to just about everywhere in the centre. What really makes this hotel is the staff - they are first rate. A special mention for Paulo....

The staff here are fantastic, with a special ❤️ shout out for Vera. She is so friendly, warm and did everything to make us feel comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious. Across the street is the Mercado Ribeira and the Time Out restaurant hub. Very convenient! Do bring earplugs though! Thank you for a wonderful stay, Vera!

We stayed 4 nights, room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. our window looked out to the food market. The area around the hotel was pretty dirty and lots of rubbish and empty beer bottles. But once inside, it was quiet and calm. Staff were very friendly and helpful with bus or train info, maps etc, even just general...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu was once by the river… Actually only the Mercado da Ribeira and the Cais do Sodre station separate the fully renovated building of the Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu from the River Tagus. Most of the tiles from the 19th Century were renovated and can be seen from various points of the communal areas and also in some double and family suites. Take the lift to the 4th floor and simply use the stair to go up to the 5th floor, where you will find the best view at the Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu. There is nothing better than friendly and dedicated staff to welcome you and serve you a delicious home-made breakfast where you will have the opportunity of watching the ships go by, crossing under the 25th of April Bridge along with looking out to the Cristo Rei always on the lookout for any movement. Then, filled with energy you may begin your visit of Lisbon through the neighbourhoods of Chiado, Baixa and Bairro Alto which are less than a 10 minute walk-away from the Guesthouse, or if you prefer, you may also get on the No. 15 tram or the No. 28 tram to Alfama and Belem. Follow your instinct... we are waiting for you ! ... more   less
