Recent stay, for my birthday, was very clean hotel. Staff very polite and pleasant. They left an impromptu gift (wine) for my birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Great location. Would recommend it to anyone.
Sweet place to stay however staying in the winter here you can not use the airconditioning to yes cool down the room as you have to close the windows in order to reduce the sounds of the city. Not very pleasant to sleep in a room of 23 celsius at night. Small rooms but adequate, good standard toiletries and decent cleaning standards. Breakfast is extremely basic , cheap plastic jams, prefab pastries, nescafe coffee ( shame such a great coffee culture in Lisbon) . Team members friendly. Conclusion nice place to stay if you want to sejourn in a buzzing area, definitely room for improvement at very little extra costs.
Having searched for hotels in Lisbon and reading the reviews we booked the My Stay Augusta . We were not disappointed! Location is perfect, hotel and room is very welcoming and clean. They even noticed my partners birthday date from her passport (it was a birthday city break) and left a bottle of Prosecco in the room on the day without prompt. Nice touch! Thank you.
Bait and switch if they are still booking in Sept 2021. They will allow transaction to go through then wait till a day or two before to tell you they made a terrible mistake and they are going to move you to a nicer...no, wait a lesser hotel that has hookers just around the corner...where as the original location was in the heart of the Baxia area and very close to the water. Then to top it off, you still get charged the original site rate, 20 euros more per night. Unhappy to say the least. I also not happy with hotels.com who are playing stupidly unhelpful...we don't understand...need you to contact the hotel...we don't know how to do our jobs.
I booked a trip to Lisbon to celebrate my husbands birthday. We were booked to stay at My Story Hotel Ouro however upon arrival we were asked if we would be happy to stay at My Story Charming Hotel Augusta. We accepted this offer and a lady walked us across the road to the hotel reception. Our stay was at a very difficult time for the city where things were starting to close down due to the Covid19 pandemic. The hotel was always spotlessly clean, the staff were ensuring safety measures of hand sanitiser at the lobby and at breakfast, staff were wearing masks and gloves. This put our minds at ease that the hotel were taking this serious and following safety measures. Our room was of a comfortable size, the shutters blocked out sound and light which was great. Rituals toiletries were in the room which was a nice touch. There was a safe and a television. We were able to request an iron and ironing board to be brought up to the room when needed. The breakfast was lovely and fresh and replenished throughout the morning. The hotel is in a fantastic position, near lots of shops and restaurants (some may say near the tourist traps) The staff were great at giving recommendations on restaurants and transport options. Lisbon is a beautiful city and we would love to return, we would definitely consider staying at the My Story chain again.…
We had a great time at My Story. We arrived early and Madelena check us in early and made sure we got a great room. All the service was friendly and professional. The rooms were cleaned well. We were there for Valentine’s Day and they left us chocolates to wish us a happy Valentine’s Day. Great little touch.
Great staff, amazing location, room with a nice view, affordable and tasty breakfast, great deal on the price considering location and quality of the rooms. Would definitely stay again next time we visit.
We stayed in the Augusta for 4 nights - having booked the sister hotel Oura, but we were transferred literally 10 yards away. Staff: extremely welcoming, polite and eager to please. Check in straight forward . Ruben at breakfast was cheerful, charming and more than happy to refill our coffee cups countless times! Room: At first sight tiny! But then we did read about that and were expecting that Once we got organised we realised that very clever use had been made of the space available and we were more than comfortable. The bed was a little hard ( personal preference, I know) I mentioned it at reception and we were offered a different room which we felt was not necessary and a mattress topper was provided! The triple glazing is brilliant. It meant we could have the window open and hear the buzz of the city and at times the live music, but close them and have perfect peace and quiet when needed. There is efficient aircon which we used to cool the room right down at night, so no need to have the windows open. I would say that the tiny bathroom needed a little getting use to. Once you are in and close the door it is not too bad! Shower was great and always plenty of hot water! Breakfast: my favourite part of staying in a hotel! Again at first appearance it looked limited but that was due to small amounts being put out and constantly replenished when needed. A choice of teas, coffees, hot chocolate, juices, smoothie, water and sparkling wine! Lots of pastries, bread, rolls, ham, cheese and vegetables. Hot food included scrambled egg, bacon and mushrooms and roasted vegetables. There was also yogurt, jams and cereal and lots of prepared fresh fruit! Mostly grapes, melon, pineapple , orange and kiwi. We loved breakfast . It was very relaxed and we spent ages sitting drinking coffee - thank you Ruben!- and planning our activities for the day Location: Perfect ! Right in the heart of the main shopping street. 2 mins to the metro. 5 mins to the sea front and trams... all on the pedestrianised area. Shops and restaurants in the doorstep. The hotel certainly provides excellent service all round for a 3 star hotel! And for the room rate we paid we felt it was amazing value! We loved Lisbon and are hoping to go back and will definitely stay at the Augusta again. …
Great restaurant. Stopped for lunch and was wonderfully looked after by Ruben. He told us all about the wine and the produce sourced and made by the owner. Food was delicious and the wine very nice. Would thoroughly recommend. Top marks. Thank you.
We came on short weekend break with friend and on our last night we were looking for nice more upmarket place to just sit and relax with some beer and tapas. Staff were exceptionally friendly and great service. Prices were very low and we were pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for nice chilled evening and nice experience.
