Visited Lisbon for 5 nights as part of a football trip with 3 friends. First of all this hotel is in a great location just minutes from Restauradores metro and virtually next to the Gloria tram which takes you up to Barrio Alto where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Room was small and pretty basic and there's not...

Overall a pleasant stay at the Turim Restauradores Hotel. Our room was clean and basic but fully functional. My only criticism was the shower cubicle, it was way too small and very difficult to bend down to pick up toiletries, would really benefit from a shower rack to hold toiletries. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful and stored our luggage...

The hotel is in a great location, 30 seconds away from a metro station and only a 2 minute walk away from Barrio Alto where a lot of the bars are located. It is also just off the main squares and a 10/15 minute walk from the beach. The rooms are good and look like they have been recently refurbished....

Well located very close to the metro or the main station for Sintra at Rossio. Try 11 tapas restaurant in Bairro Alto only 10 minutes away. WiFi is only available in the lobby. Rooms are small but clean and perfect for a couple of nights stay.

Booked a room in the superior category, but got a smaller room than a regular standard room facing the building across the one way street. Even though the room was small, it had all the necessities and was of top standard. Since the windows are quite old and have no special sound proofing it was really easy to hear the...

We had stayed in a previous version of this hotel in the 90's when it was the Pension Suisse. Then a run down seedy little place. Looking at the Turim website we thought it looked great. So we enter the hotel and were greeted by very charming reception staff. Looking at the lobby all seemed fine. Hotel lobbies by and...

I made the big mistake of coming to Lisbon when it was the rockin rio festival so struggles to find a hotel to stay at. The hotel has definatly seen better days and I must say the staff could have been politer. The good thing is the room is spacious. Bad things- glass door to the toilet so not too...

Hotel is well situated in centre of Lisbon. Funny tram just round the corner. Easy to go around centre of Lisbon by foot. Rooms ok, beds not so comfortable. Basic comfort. Found it a bit too expensive for what it is.

We have been staying at this hotel several times from 2012 onwards and it was and is our first choice for all our visits in Lisbon. The pros: in the very centre of the city, next to a transport hub (Restauradores square), easy accessible from the airport, a stone throw from Rossio train station and 2 metro stops from Santa...

Perfect place to be, near all the main point in Lisboa, close to all the attractions and in the center. Near Restauradores metro station, and near Gracia elevator. The hotel was clean, calm, people very nice.

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
